I just don't tell DH anything that involves money in the first place
.
Artisan is the very reason I have a breadmaker!!One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

Loving your quotes Cheri, this is one I thought was worth sharing:
"Be generous, and you will be prosperous. Help others, and you will be helped."What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
believe me I will try that one. Hmmm would you have tried that yourself I wonder.
I love the proverb too. Was how I felt today when I went to the supermarket for bread (my homemade loaf was a disaster). I thought should I have toilet rolls or a bunch of flowers. Unfortunately the toilet rolls won.[/QUOTE]
Now you left a brilliant quote on my diary - which I'm now changiing to:
either
buy one loo roll and a flower
or buy a packet of loo rolls and pick a garden (or very selectively and carefully) a small bunch of wild flowers :A
I had a giggle about the bread - I can't make bread to save myself - cheery's artisan bread answer was brilliant!
Re the scones you did make me giggle but I was so chuffed you made them I'm delighted whatever size you got - in this house things need made tiny to go around several times cos everyone wants 'just the one' (ie loads) and therefore I make small ones!:rotfl:
ETA did you use measuring cups or just cups? cups are smaller than measuring cups but I am assuming you know that - so I'm shutting up now!
Have a great day - :ATotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
'just the one' translates into 'loads' here too :rotfl: And 'no thanks I don't want any' usually translates into 'ooh, yours looks nice, can I have some?' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Love the one loo roll and a bunch of wild flowers :j0 -

I love the one loo rool and bunch of wild flowers too.
Pippi the scones were lovely and yes I did use a measuring cup not a normal cup. I think that I just do things huge!!! I do have a scone recipe and I have used your tip of sour milk before but I followed yours exactly and in 15 minutes I had hot scones. Yum.
Bank checked, one more DD to come out on Monday, leaves me £36. I have scoured the house and found 52 euros scattered around. So do you think that I will have enough to see me through two days in Salzburg? Dont get paid until next Thurs and only having £36 would not normally bother me but hey I am in Salzburg. Have a feeling the CC will be packed (emergency use only obvioulsy). Mr C seems to paid when the boss remembers so he is hoping that he gets this months pay today. We shall see.
Bit mithered as just had a call from the agent in Austria who says that we are meeting with the notary and sellers on Tuesday and we are all going to go to a nice restaurant for lunch :eek:I hope they dont expect me to pay the bill:rotfl::rotfl:Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Gosh cheri! I hope you're not paying too! :eek:0
-
Yike! That would be a problem, yes. You're bunging them a lot of money on professional fees, you're the client - they should pay!
"Oh how nice of you to take your clients out to lunch"2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Karmacat is right, and in fact as a result of those fees, it could be argued that you have already paid for lunch!
so don't be paying again! :rotfl:0 -
Thanks ladies, I am sure that I am being a worrywort! I will definitely not be paying for lunch for everybody because if they expect me to I will be offering to wash the dishes
Finished work for a whole week. How lucky am I that I had my annual leave authorised before the announcement of strike action. Hence I will not be losing a days pay. Now I apologise if some people think that I am a erm.....whatever the politically correct word for strike break is these days...... but I have come to the conclusion that all of the years that I paid subs and when I needed the union most several years ago they werent interested so I told them to get stuffed. I wont be paying my subs to any union anymore. This does not mean that I dont support strike action and I do go out when I am in agreement (member or no) but in this instant I am not giving up my holiday so I will quite happily take the pay. I am sure there are going to be lots more opportunities to support the cause. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. One whole week off and hopefully a lovely and free meal!
Monster (mum has named my truck) broke today. Rear diff and rear axle look like they need replacing. Took him to my local chap and all his family have the same trucks so knew exactly what it was. Full price repair £3K. I've only done 250 miles in it and owned it 6 days so we drove all the way back to where he came from clanging and banging and shaking . They will be fixing him FOC or I'll get trading standards in as I know my rights :money:.
That last quote on here echo'd some conversations yesterday about someone we know who gives and is very fulfilled in life. Also each time I got stressed over Monster something happened. The garage man has been ill, lost 8 stone, got fit and now raising money for charity. saw a baby monkjack deer, DS has 2 new baby birds (sooooo tiny) - the universe was telling me something :A.One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
