Likewise. What a shame these people are lurking out there, spending time and effort purely to try to bring others down. Hopefully the person who caused the problems will get everything they deserve in life, and then a little more.

Found out yesterday I have more work again and was asked how much more I can handle, I've said I'll have a think, just need to get the balance between income and exhuastion (sp?) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning all.

Well on Monday I booked three days off work. Day three and I am feeling a little less exhausted but getting there slowly. I have lazed around and not done much at all. I have been to the beach 3 days running though and that has really lifted my spirits.

YAHM - work......... its like buses, nothing and then everything comes all at once. Is any of the extra stuff things that you can farm out rather than turning it down. Is there anybody that could do it for a smaller fee than you charge so that you still get some profit or otherwise sub contract it out? You never know when you might suddenly have the time to do more. Is it the NVQ stuff that somebody needs qualifications to do or Admin stuff?

Money wise I am not doing too brilliantly this month at all. I have spent less than last month on groceries but Mr C had to get tax for the car and we had to buy some things for the flat so all in all I am not too worried. In the vein of Hypno I have looked at what I have got left to last me till next week and when I break it down into daily amounts that is all good. Cupboards are fulll of rice, pasta, beans and pulses so I will not starve.

Mr C has to head back up to his parents today as he is helping his dad to sort out some legal stuff. That hasnt helped this month as it has cost us a lot in petrol. I have swallowed my pride and asked him to ask his Dad for a contribution to the petrol.

No sign of another car for me but in the current climate I have decided to do without so I will have another weekend stuck in the village. Oh well lots of NSD will help.

No news on the house in Austria - that is still ongoing and likely to be the end of the week before I hear anything more.

Right I am off to try to wake myself up.

  • Bah to the petrol bills, trouble is you always feel so guilty when its family. We gave the toxic nephew £5 the other day as he was pleading poverty and no petrol in his car - turns out his partner was out having eyebrows and nails done and next day there were chinese tubs on the table. That really was the final straw . Maybe they could teach us MSErs how to make £5 stretch so far :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Its NVQ work so no-one to hand it to, but DH is taking over a lot of the admin on the other work, really need to get the money in to get a new car.

HA! I have an aunty who is even worse with money than my Mum was. She once asked me if I could lend her £200 for her daughters christening as she had no money and no food in the house. When I told her I didnt have £200 but I could put a food parcel together she was very annoyed and didnt invite me to the christening. I heard later that there was lots of beer and wine so she must have soft soaped somebody.

I have had a fairly good day moneywise. I checked my topcashback account and had received my cashback for joining Swinton euro breakdown cover in Dec. so £15.90 moved to my current account. Then headed over to Quidco where there was £42 cashback waiting for me from Swinton Insurance (Mr Cs insurance waited for it since Sept) so that should come through in the next round of payouts. I was sorting out some paperwork and found £16.50 worth of tesco points so I have sent Mr C north with a shopping list and what earns double points so he is bringing food back to last until payday. I have two items on ebay and one of them has 8 watchers - very excited as that is the most I have ever had.

I have discovered that I can advertise my flat on Sarah Beeneys website free of charge so I have done that today (told the estate agent that I was doing it too and waiting to hear his response on that)
All in all a very satisfying day. I feel like I am getting a bit of focus back somehow.

New focus for me here as you will see from my signature. I am going to start looking at positives rather than negative things. This is my true nature but I seem to have managed to lose myself a little for some reason. Before I moved to Wales people always said I was a very positive kind of person. Not quite sure how that happened really considering I moved to live in such a beautiful place. Perhaps the beauty surrounding me has stopped me from trying to find the positive in things. So I need to start trying again. I have joined the happiness project Just a little thing to help me to focus and get back on track.

Today is the first day so my positivity today is going to be all about money. I have earned £15.90 and moved it to my current account on TCB and I am waiting for £42.50 to clear in my account. That gives me a cost neutral attendance at a wedding on Saturday that I was a bit mithered about. Camera is going on charge and tomorrow I will take 5 new photographs to practice for the wedding on Saturday.

    Happy day everybody.

Maty - she has decided to stay!!! The power of email.

Morning all, what another fabulous day in LaLa land!

Quite a lot of background stuff going on for me at the moment so quite distracted from all things MSE but if background stuff progresses I will need all the kindly support I can get. I hopefully will have some answers by the end of next week. If the results go one way I will be  in a nice way. If they go the other way I will be :(:(:(
    So fingers crossed.

In other news: I am off to a wedding today. Mr C went armed with an M&S voucher that I got for Christmas (£25) to buy a present. I figured it would be cost neutral so was happy to forego a christmas present (apart from which I never seem to find anything I like in there) so he arrived home with "dinner service" that cost £50  he borrowed the rest off his dad so I now need to work out how to pay that back. I ask you? Need to take some money out of the savings to be able to buy petrol and travel there. It is two hours each way but we are travelling there and back so that we dont have to pay to put Moo in home boarding tonight. Should keep the cost down.

Window that Mr C had to break because I went off to Cardiff with all of the house keys (for 2 days) is being fixed on Tuesday £125

Frames for pictures that I decided to get done after 2 years are ready (they have been at the shop for 4 months and I forgot) balance of £60 to pay.

Still have £40 in the current account to last until Thursday. I am away from Sunday night to Wednesday so my food is all provided for me. That is good. So it looks like I am limping over that finishing line this week.

Oh I have 16 watchers on my bookcase on ebay (shabby chic project words seem to have geed them up) hope it converts to a bidding war as it finishes tomorrow and so far nobody has placed a bid :( New to ebay so not sure if that will happen

    Have a good weekend everybody

Good luck with the bookcase. 16 watchers is brilliant. I've only ever sold 2 things on ebay - Muse tickets and a Minnie Mouse rain mac. I really need to get some stuff on there but really lack the motivation to take the photos and put everything on there. Maybe when I get a day to myself.....:rotfl:
