Oh dear cheri! We have exactly the same issue in this house (although no credit rating worries) - Mr Daffs never opens post, I'm trying to get myself named as a contact person on things - but that involves HIM actually *speaking* to someone on the phone to give them permission. Sigh. A seemingly never-ending quest!
Hope you enjoyed the hairdressersMy hair is looking rather drab at the minute - a friend who's a hairdresser offered to tidy up my fringe the other day and cut FAR too much off - it looks proper daft now!
Will be fine in a week or two, but still, next time she gets the scissors out I'll run a mile!

I am a happier bunny following my bargainous trip to town
Spent lots on things I needed but have saved more than 50% :j:j:j
Hope Mr C has crept back in with his tail between his legs, silly boy getting cross for being helped!
Cheery - Sorry the haircut was a bit  My hairdresser and I always have a discussion about my fringe, I want it shorter than she does it because once my glasses go back on it always seems too long to me. We have now agreed that she cuts it to where she thinks is right and then takes a further quarter inch off to make me happy:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Thanks everybody, you all make me smile. ME - my point exactly re having my name on there (it went on whether he likes it or not). Tricia, that made me laugh out loud, no chance of him clubbing a tiger though as we are both veggies and if he did it would be because he wants a playmate for Moo rather than to eat it!
Cheery, I dont think Mr C has credit problems, just thinks he does because he had a couple of wobbly years with his health and the not opening letters forms part of that I think. I shouldn't have lost my temper but sometimes he just doesn't know when to leave something and it gets on that one nerve that I have mentioned before. I have always been very good with money (My Mum's inability to manage money and us ending up with no food, heat and light sometimes had the opposite affect on me unlike my sister to the point I became a bit too controlling about it all). My debt is mostly - in Martins words - good debt but I just dont do debt very well at all. I like to pay the bills up front if I can.
He came home all bright and breezy (he forgets arguments much more easily than me) and when I showed him the total savings and how, by paying it in a lump sum because I have saved an amount each month we also saved a further £25 he was astounded. Truth be told I think he has always been spoiled by being able to just go to his Dad when things have come up. I am trying to train him otherwise. He is coming around slowly.
Loving my hair although to be honest it is cut really short for me. I like to wash and go but I have a feeling that the straighteners will be in constant use now.
Sun is shining here and I am off for a cheap night out so that should be nice. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
How lovely cheri :T
Glad Mr C is coming round and can see the wisdom of your wise words! :T :T We, in fact, have just had a bit of a wobble about money ourselves this eveningI was, er, rather bored with having to go to the garage and put diesel in the car EVERY single time I got in it (usually to drive across town or whatever). Every time. Mr Daffs drives to another city a couple of times a week, round trip of about 80 miles, and only ever puts a tenner in the car at a time, and if he arrives back late at night (which he usually does), he doesn't do it at all, preferring to leave it until the start of the next trp. Problem comes when I use the car in the meantime...
Anyway, think it's all sorted nowWe're going with my plan of filling the car up (£75 - eek!) at the beginning of the month, I'll pay, and he can give me what he uses as he goes along - then neither of us have to go to the garage in the month. We'll see if it works out.
Anyway, got the evening to myself now (again - fed up of being on my own at the minute) - going to make soap

Much relieved to hear thatbut I still think that hind-brain has a lot to do with the dislike of you being right! :rotfl:
but sometimes he just doesn't know when to leave something and it gets on that one nerve that I have mentioned before. It's the same nerve that makes us females go aloong with problems till we EXPLODE in frustration.

LOL to you both. Contrary to what it sounds like, I do love Mrx and he has redeeming qualities - like he will not be in the least upset by the fact that supper will be late because I got sidetracked. :T:TBut how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -

I agree! I love Mr C to bits and I wouldnt change him at all, after all if I did he wouldnt be the man I fell in love withDifferent_Corner wrote: »Cheri- I actually have those money/organisation arguements with myself !
Oh DC - that did make me laugh. I am sorry though that you have to have these arguments with yourself. Another reason why I appreciate Mr C so much is because I know that he might not always be here to row with. :rotfl:Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Of course you are always right. So am I (in my head)
Rubbish day on ebay, 3 items sold - total of £4.42 before postage and feesOh well still less clutter in the house.
Off to Cardiff again for 3 days. Luckily I am driving this time so no silly oclock train tomorrow. Respectable 7am set off. Meetings all day and for the following 2 days then home again on Wednesday. At least all my food and drink is paid for so a bit of a saving there then.
I am procrastinating. Should be packing bag but really dont want to go so cant be bothered finding clothes and ironing themSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
