Hope the wedding was lovely.
Fingers crossed for the rest of the week. I used HMV vouchers to get a CD, (thanks Cokezone!) and a £5 boots voucher towards a new foundation.
Nephew is still driving me cray, his girlfriend lives her life on FB and she has spent a fortune this week yet no offer of my £5 back . DH wont let me text them, he said wait until they are skint again then tell them to bog off. They have to learn the hard way - we all have

Hi Cheri
That Happiness project book has been on my Amazon wishlist forever, about time I treated myself to it.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend, you deserve it.DC.

Afternoon - oh how that hour has made a difference today.
Wedding was good. Helped me to practice my Welsh as all were first language welsh. Band was fab, harps, those hand held drums that I cant remember the name of, flutes, saxophones, tamborines, fiddles, guitars, drums Oh the list goes on, lots of welsh rebel rousing songs, folk, current pop but sang in welsh. It was just great. Back to earth with a bump today. I have to be in Cardiff for an early morning session (takes 3 hours to drive from here) so I had decided I was going to get the train tonight and stay over to be there on time. Erm......... just discovered that lines are closed and if I get the 5pm train tonight (was planning to get the 7.20) it has 3 changes - 2 onto buses, and gets me there at 2am. the 7.20 tonight gets me there at 7.51 in the morning Oops. So its the 5 am train for me in the morning and will have to miss the start. Still - saving the office a fortune in expenses but will be exhausted.
Up to 19 watchers now and I have 2 bidders. Only up to £5 as I started it at the bottom price and no reserve. Just need shut so any amount is a win really. Also no packing and posting as its collection only so no time incurred.
Me - I agree with OH. My aunty never asked me for money again after I offered her a food package instead. I would think of something to offer instead of money next time they ask. That way it will be a win/win situation and they will get the message. So if they say they are short of food offer a food package. If they say its for travel offer them a lift. Or alternatively ask them to do a job for you in return. Dont let any resentment build up because then only you will suffer. If they think you are ok with things then they are never going to learn.
DC - why not try reading her blog for a while and see if it is something you want to spend money on before investing. Or how about getting it from the library and if you like it you could buy it then. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Thanks for all the updates and especially being able to get back onto Froog's blog! Also I've had a look at the Happiness Project and discovered that I've already bookmarked it - so that will do me a lot of good if I didn't even remember seeing it before  The Senior Moment strikes again :wall:
I did chuckle (in a resigned "been there, done that" way) at Mr C's wedding present purchase. Mr X would have done the same and looked totally puzzled when steam erupted from my ears! :rotfl:
Sending positive thoughts for a good outcome at the end of next week. Just remember that if it doesn't come off, it wasn't meant to be and there is something better round the corner. Don't you just hate people who say that? But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Oh dear Tricia, I have lots of those senior moments and yes Mr C has a way of looking at me all forlornly like a little boy who had done something wrong but thought they were doing you a favour!
Yes I do hate people who say that but I am always the one at the front of the queue saying it
Bookcase sold :j:j:j:j £27.74 - ok not a huge sum but as I only paid £20 for it and it would have cost me a lot more to do it up as I wanted to (F&B paint and LA wallpaper) then I consider that a winner. In true obsessive style (I am an addictive personality) I have now listed a small priory table that I intended to shabby chic plus 3 other bits. All due to finish next week. With fees of £3.00 that brings my profit down to £24.74 before further fees from paypal are added but that includes some fees for what I have put on this week. Hopefully they will sell.

The wedding sounds lovely and lots of fun.
The toxics have no power over us now - in fact when they came round the other day it was quite sad to feel no connection to them or the new baby. But needs must - they had been out shopping, but then still didn't offer the £5 back.
You are doing great with ebay, I'm going for carboots as I have lots of bits that are too big to post, mainly toys.
