Thanks EH that is what I thought. Yes to Virgin and MBNA :eek

I do send texts all of the time like that sometimes nothing more than a X. He loves those kind of texts (oh and I leave notes for him to find too) So far he has only found 4 of the 9 that I have hidden in his snow gear and suitcase. i really hope his son or his friend didnt find any of them :o

I did have an idea, I knew he would be in a certain pub as he had just sent me a text telling me. So I phoned the pub and asked if I could buy a round over the phone with my debit card. And would they call him to the bar over the disco and just give him the pint saying its from Mrs C!!! They did, and I got lots of funny texts from him with big smileys. Think it cheered him up!

I know, but I do love him and intend to show him every day.I am making up for the 25 years I did without him because I was to afraid to tell him. Even on days when he really gets on that one nerve! You know the kind of day I mean.

Posted this over on MGs thread - just putting it here to remind myself.

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck *
(Written after she found out she was dying from cancer).
I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth
would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.
I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in
    storage.
I would have talked less and listened more.
I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained,
    or the sofa faded
I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much
less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his
    youth.
I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.
I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day
because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.
I would have sat on the lawn! With my grass stains.
I would have cried and laughed less while watching tel evision and more
    while watching life.
I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't
show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every
moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only
chance in life to assist God in a miracle.
When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, 'Later. Now go
get washed up for dinner.' There would have been more 'I love you's'; more
    'I'm sorry's.' *
But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at
it and really see it.. live it and never give it back. STOP SWEATING THE
    SMALL STUFF!!! *
Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what
Instead; let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.
Let's think about what God HAS blessed us wit h, and what we are doing each
day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, and emotionally. I hope you
    have a blessed day .
If you don't mind, send this on to all the women you are grateful to have as
friends. Maybe we should all grab that purple hat earlier. Please send
this to five phenomenal women today in celebration of Beautiful Women's
Month. If you do, something good will happen - you will boost another
    woman's self esteem. *
Friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble
    remembering how to fly.*

There isn't a non-single woman here who doesn't know exactly what you mean! :D

  • Its been a long time since I read that poem and how true it is.

I saw DH through a window and was told his name. I decided there and then I was going to marry him. :)

Yep, I saw Mr C running past the girls changing rooms in his shorts when I was 15 and said to my bf, I think I just fell in love. 2 years later she was dating his best friend and so by default we became friends. Sssh - don't tell but I still get the same butterflies when I see him in his shorts heading out of the door for a run. ;)

Well, the end of the week, thank heavens. I can report that this week I have spent the grand total of £6.79 and I am admitting here and now that this was spent 30 minutes ago in the village garage on a bottle of red wine! I think that I deserve it, I know that I deserve it, I am going to enjoy it.

Remind me again why I do presentations to groups of women again???????? Note to myself not to offer to deliver a colleagues presentation at last minute and remind myself that I much prefer to work with Young people not in education, employment or training than women on empowerment courses :)

I havent even started the wine yet and I am talking gibberish.

Oh dear Cherisong! What did the newly empowered women do to you??? The mind boggles!

Aw, how sweet that you still get butterflies :D I do too (although you'd never catch Mr Daffs in a pair of shorts :rotfl: far more likely to be a de-mob suit and tie :D (A real de-mob suit, from after the war :D Not that he's *that* old, I hasten to add, quite a bit older than me, but not *that* old :rotfl:)

Oh dear, tying myself in knots now! :rotfl:

I'm afraid the first time I met Mr Daffs I went home with another man  (who had introduced me to Mr daffs in the first place). He (the other man) told me that night I would end up with Mr Daffs :rotfl: Needless to say I suspected that was unlikely (given, the, er, situation at the time :rotfl:)

6 weeks later I had to admit he'd been right - I've never experienced anyone being so darn pleased with themselves for being right :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well done on only spending £6.79! :T :T
