Great idea Satchmo.
Me....... glad to hear no hiccoughs for you with work. That makes a lot of sense about seeing the body of their pal. When Zach (my GSD) saw Benny he seemed to be fine although Benson my Cocker was reluctant to let him be buried. Benson really pined for Zach, in hindsight I think he didnt understand what had happened. Things to remember indeed.
MSE update. Moo will be going on his holidays with the two Danes that he spent Christmas with. YIPEEE means I get to go to the proms. Very MSE as I am hostelling and taking picnics with me. The hostel has a kitchen so we can cook our own meals and we get breakfast. Best of all it is in Kensington so fall out of bed into the queue for the prom. Cant really afford it but as Mr C got paid and received some arrears thats all good. He has agreed with them a paydate of the first working day in the month so that will be a bit better for planning purposes all around me thinks. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Good for you!
**whispers** - is the Christmas lady mse too? Hope so ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Books can be bought later, the store cupboard can be replenished later, but that prom on that day will happen only then, so if you are not going to starve by going and bearing in mind how much you know you will enjoy it, I'd heed Mr C and give yourself a little pick-me-up and get yerself to it. Something to look forward to, something to enjoy in the moment, and something to look back on - three for the price of one, so definitely a bargain not to be missed.
That is brilliant!
Glad Mr Moo being paid (understand about the patchworky stuff) and so chuffed you're having an adventure - big tick.
xxxTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

Just stopped for lunch and going to try my "Sunday Amble Bramble Jam" which I made yesterday.
5 jars at a total cost of 99p for sugar and 26p for a lemon thats erm......£1.25/5 = 25p per jar :T How MSE is thatSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Stop slinking it doesnt suit you. Sorry I am the one that confused the issue. She was fairly expensive but then remembered that was Christmas rates. She is much cheaper now and I have been able to afford the rates that she wanted on my meagre budget. Mind we have always agreed that when or if I have a house big enough I will mind her two for her. They are gorgeous.
Edited to add update. I have just been very very naughty (but I like it) and I have booked to have my hair cut and coloured at my old hairdressers in my old town. I have never liked my hair as much as when she used to do it so that is very exciting. Will have to empty my piggy bank and the last of my emergency fund because they take cash only YIKES. See I do listen to you ladies about looking after myself. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Hi fellow bookworms!
I had so many books, and so little space, so my MSE solution was to take them into work and start a book swap feature. I made a colourful sign. The idea is if you swap a book it's free, if you haven't got a book to offer then you pay £1. The funds go into the organisations coffers.
WHAT, I can hear you cry.... fear not, I work for a charity helping the poorest children in the world's hardest places www.worldvision.org.uk. Win, win, I say
Love your diary, and Mr C really needs to prioritise your/his own finances over those of the organisation he works for, instead of being Bank of Mr C! Their cash-flow issues shouldn't cause you/him problems.
Satchmo x
What a fabulous idea SatchmoI wonder if I can set that up in my work (generally people look at me as though I have three heads... there she goes with her crack pot ideas again... last time I attempted anything, I was only trying to get people to recycle properly, but they just didn't seem to get it.)
So you would be the person for me to quiz on international development then... (Sorry MrsMoo... I bet you knew I'd have to ask that question! :rotfl:)
PS We did manage to get my work to be slightly environmentally friendly by raising money for your charity through World Vision's christmas card. Some people still insist on sending cards to their cronies though. Baby steps!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

:T:T:T:T Well done Niccatw. I would have been disappointed if you hadn't used your networking skills there.

This has got nowt to do with books
but my work is pretty good for charity fundraising - people will often bring in spare produce from their gardens and leave in the kitchen with a donation pot for their current favourite charity, which I think is a lovely idea :T :T . Had a cake fundraiser thing the other week and I think raised over £150 - not too bad given that there's only 40 of us in total and not everyone was in (probably an indication of how much cake we eat :rotfl: :rotfl:)
