    Hi there,

    New to all this.

just been down to the local tesco extra - got me xbox bundle and paid in cash.

went to the cs desk and explained that i had not made as much of a saving as i thought i should do. The cs girl came with me and i showed her the stand and the games and helped her to work out the price differences with her calculator ;)

She said that she they would refund the difference - about 2 quid. I explained that i felt a misprice had occured and thought i should get a full refund. I asked to speak to the manager.

The manager came - i explained that i had been mislead by the advertising and had not made as much of a saving as i had expected. He said they would happily refund the difference but would not R an R as i had paid the price that was advertised.

I then did not know what to do - and capitulated and took a full refund.

Would be interested in others views of what i should have / could have done? also do i have any recourse now?

Oh and - as i was leaving i heard him saying "we need to take that display down......"

You should have stood your ground and kept both the product and the receipt and called head office, the worse thing that could have happened is what has already happened in that they have refunded you.

Wouldnt guess there is anything you can do now. But im no expert.

No xbox360 joy at Seacroft, Leeds (or Roundhay, Leeds). Seacroft had PES6 at correct £37.97 and Console at £259.97 but no sign of the PES6 Bundles.

Asked an assistant who quickly dashed to store room and produced a PES6 bundle - I asked where the shelf was for the price but he said there wasn't one and headed for the till to get me one.

£279.97 - Obviously I didn't take it as there was no advertising claim that I'd be saving £19.97 by buying the bundle.

Guessing the bundles and promotion will be held back until PSE6 reverts to full price at the end of the week.

No promo or bundles on display at Roundhay either.

    :(

In this instance they are wrong, they are misleading you to believe that the bundled items are cheaper than buying the two separately, which is not the case. As you can buy both products for £2 less, they are breaking the consumer protection act 1987 and misleading you with the purchase. I personally would go to another store and try again. Explain that they have mislead you to buying the two together by promoting products which individually are cheaper in part than the total sum of the goods. Say that if they are not prepared to offer you a full r&r then you will contact your partner who works for trading standards.
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.

They're not misleading you into believing the bundled items are cheaper than buying them seperately are they though? Buy them seperately and it comes to more than the bundle - its just that it comes to £2 less than the advertised saving of £19.xx off.

Or am I missing something (likely)

I have noticed in my local, gift sets in the health and beauty area.

My suspicions are aroused because the cardboard boxes the gift sets sit in, have bright yellow 'security' labels stuck over the bottom right corner. Just where the lower prices are displayed on the other Xmas gift sets, and the stationery sets. I cannot SEE any prices underneath, but I am curious as to why the cardboard boxes have security stickers on - maybe they have lower prices hidden underneath.
If anyone has a chance to check this out - all mine are securely covered up, and the only way to make sure would be to peel back these stickers - which I do not intend to do, and end up accused of tampering with prices etc.

    Good luck

Thanks mikeywills - but if i brought the console and game seperately then it would cost £17-97 more than the bundle not less. It is the amount they say i will save that is wrong....

Ok seen the stands and had a good look at it. There was a price of £19.97 there but only that. They had removed the SEL of the XBOX on it's own and the PE6 game. So i had nothing to compare it with.

All stores were on their ball today, not one r&r that i could see.

And are these stands a 4 way one with PSP, NDS and PS2 on it aswell?

Oh and thought i got PE6 (PS2) all stores had this right price except one. £24.77 on the SEL scanned it and came up as £24.77. So will kepp an eye on that.

    On another note:

How many R&R have you got in 1 shop? and
Have any of you been made aware that you always have refunds (by the CS)?
