I saw a couple of those old style boxes on display in one of the stores I was in at the weekend, thought I was onto a winner until I picked it up, it had a piece of paper taped over the barcode with a number on it for the checkout dude to enter manually.

Thought about peeling it off but decided against it, already got a PS2 anyway.
think that was after me:D ;)

:j i am no longer an R&R virgin yay!! went to two tescos to pop my R and R cherry!
1st tesco i got a nigella lawsons how to be a domestic goddess cook book stickered at 9.97 scanned at 12.97. CS lady told me she would have to go and look to see if there are any more on the shelf?! dont know what that had to do with my randr :) anyway she came back and said yours was the only one there pass over your card and il refund it. She did so and then practically threw my book at me! :rotfl:
2nd R and R at another tescos morphy richards bread maker out of date sel 31.10 offer at 34.48 scanned at 44.99. CS lady called over electricals assistant who i promptly followed as he whipped away the two large yellow offer sels i shouted yes those bread makers at 34.48! he said ill be back in 2 mins.
when he came back he was on the phone to his manager. he looked at me and said " those were out of date sels my manager says he will offer the difference, hows that?" At his point i shook my hed pointedly and tried not to smirk. i said " no because even though the dates are old i was not to know!"
I wanted to laugh but didnt when he said to his manager... no the customer does not find that satisfactory!! :rotfl: I heard then a very loud FOLLOW PROCEDURE THEN!!! :rotfl:
Took the young lad back to cs where my sis was waiting with the bread maker. Young lad says to CS lady follow procedure refund and she keeps the bread maker. :T :T :T :T
My sister and i are now hooked :D

i know this is a technical question but whats the difference between a core and a console in the xbox thing. because it might be worth checking prices on these too

The premium is the full console, the standard is called the 'core' version. The premium has the following upgrades compared with the core:

    - 20GB hard disk (essential really)
    - headset
    - wireless controller (as opposed to wired in core)
    - component HD AV cable (as opposed to standard AV cable in core)
    - has different face-plate (silver drive access)

Your telling me, it took me 5 stores to find one, on the 01/11, and even then I felt really chuffed.
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.

Would love to find a PSP though and know i missed the boat on the last misprice.
  • I need some advise from the 'seasoned' R&Rers please.
I have done about 5 R&R's from my local Tesco and the CS witch told me today that I've been abusing the refund policy and any further overcharges would not be refunded.
I was gobsmacked and I meekly said OK. If I had an inkling that she would say that I'd have stood my ground and come up with some comment.
What should I do now apart from travel further afield?
The refunds have all been for about £25.00.

Go back at a different time and deal with different CS.

1st thing I do in any store is check if I had and rr(r) from the CS

I'd also argue that if u hadn't overcharged me I wouldn't be asking for staff to COMPLY WITH TESCO POLICY.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.
