Tried it on the Nokia 6111 in Pink with no success, so it does come dow to a little bit of luck and being very chatty with the checkout assistant in the hope that they miss it.

Intent to steal is claiming "save 19.xx" whilst overcharging. anyway i believe there is a ethics thread for this type of thing.

be careful with the mobiles.got 1 in the first store yesterday success.,no discount came off.the second store the same phone discount flashed up on the screen. i really think now its pot luck.

Nah !!!! it, dumped my CS tonight, couldn't resist selling her my R&R'ed mobile b4 saying thanks for the shag(s).

On way home popped into an express for a gander, found a very nice checkout girl, who is coming for a curry with me tommorow night in East Dulwich Curry Cabin...you can guess what is for afters.

just been to a tesco, theyhave the xbox cardbox stand, too bad they have used an A4 piece of paper to cover up the poster of the offer on the box.

they are probably aware of the problem now, so well done for anyone that has managed to get one!

No luck with the Nokia 6111 discount came off. Oh well a return trip. Also X box 360 stand price of game all taped up but still had saving £19.96 showing.

Think i know why aswel..

Picked the dvd case up and 4 Ps2 Games ( 2 for £25)
went to checkout and put the dvd case at the beginning.. she starts scanning.. she scans the mobile case and the beep happenend..which was the Question " has customer spent over £40?" i thought !!!!..didnt get it..but then she hits the "NO" button.. Oh my gawd!! went throught checkout and no £20 came off.. because she scanned it first and didnt relise the games came over £40...off to cs to pickup free fone!! yippee!

My 2 advices are..

put the dvd case at the front of the shopping and put a item at the back that is expensive but doesnt look over £40

or

go in pairs shopping.
1. buy a fone and 1 item over £40
2. stand in queue together..as if your doing 2 different shops!
3. first person puts the dvd case down and lets cashier scans it.. once you've heard the beep and she says thats "xxx.xxp please" say to your colleague.. "i'll pay for that and you pay me back" that person agrees..of course the stupid question has now by passed and she'll just add that 2nd persons item on to the 1st person shopping.

You should now pay the full amount for everything with no discount...

i will be trying this later tonight and confident it will work!
