I think they may have changed their policy since the OH told HO about it, they said "Thats ridiculous!" (always ones for stating the obvious) and said they would be on the case, also apparently the witch is undergoing disaplinary procedures on her attitude and not wearing a name badge.

Like I said, not a local store, not likely to be going back in there anytime soon so thought telling HO about their "Bulk buy" policy of one item would be a laugh!




On a seperate(ish) note, does anyone know if you would get the 5% wine discount on the Champagne/choc gift sets if you bought six?

Not sure, but you can get 100% discount if they are still in the box with £18 SEL

Does anyone on this forum shop in either of the Lincoln Tesco stores. I've tride for months to get my first R&R based on the postings on the Tesco Misprice forum but whenever I go with a long list they have all been fixed.

Just wondered if anyone else had any success in Lincoln as the staff seem to be on the ball.

Yeah I know, got some more yesterday, went down very nice with the slap up chinese we had (paid for by golden R&R)

I just wondered if you could use that as an arguemnt if you bought 6 sets and no discount come off, the CS we had yesterday originally tried the "oh they must have been in the wrong box" excuse but when she saw that we were having none of it (especially the OH, she really wanted that champers) she went off to seek managers advice then came back and handed over £80

But if they were using the "wrong box" tripe as an excuse and you had got six of them you could also argue that the 5% hadnt been taken off either! Just a thought!
I expect they would try and wriggle out of that one too saying it doesnt apply, I'll have a look at the 5% discount signs later and see if it says anything to that affect on them (I'm guessinng it wont knowing Tescos ability to produce ambiguous signage)

Sorry dont shop in Lincoln, but the only advice I can offer is to look for other stuff not on the list, as its likely the staff there will have the list too, its been seen in other stores. Obviously use the list as a guide but dont be blinded by it.
I went out and visited 6 stores the other day with the list that was made on the misprice thread, didnt get a single item in any of the six stores (and I checked EVERY item, including the stuff I didnt really want, just to see if it was mispriced)
Could just be a coincidence but six stores?

I've always found the misprice thread handy as a guide of what to look for but dont always find a lot of the things listed on there.

i got three the other day, and they almost accused me of putting them in the wrong box deliberately!
got the DM out, phoned HO while i was still in the store, HO ended up speaking to DM and backed her decision. got a refund and left, peed off.
I should have asked them to go out the back and check the boxes of the ones in storage, that would have helped but sometimes you only think of these things afterwards.
Anyway, doubley miffed about it because i had a very low profile in that store, and now all the CS and the DM might recognise me next time :mad:
