Just got a Winnie The Pooh birthday cake for 10p. Loads of bread and rolls and things for 10p. Sandwiches with tomorrow's date 15p. No one's in because of all the bonfires so there's lots of stuff. lol. Took my daughter and 2 friends and they both got a goody bag for their mums from the pharmacy too.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0

went to tesco today, and bought a sony erricson w810i, it had a white sel, however it was clearly stated on the poster that this phone was included in the offer. I spent £40 in store on a mixture of groceries and toys and the £20 discount did not come off. Went to customer services they agreed however the store manager says the discount is only on grocery items, but that is not stated anywhere in store or on the leaflets. They refunded the phone but would not do an r&r, i phoned head office and they say the store is right. Can anyone advise where I stand?
I am really mad
thanks
Update:
Called cs again at head office, spoke to a very nice gentleman, who inturn rang the store and voila! free phone. You definitely need to be looking for the white sel's they do not trigger the discount. Everything but the named exclusions on the leaflet are included in the £40 spend, as confirmed by head office. Don't give in, I nearly did, but am pleased I didnt. Thanks for all the tips in the past they came in handy today

hi
i am desperate for a new phone,i dont normally shop in tesco from wlfc1's post am i correct in thinking i should look for a white sel then go and spend £40.00 in store
which would be the easiest to get r & r on the motorola, ericsson or the pebl or if there are anymore dont care what it is
is it only motorola that does not trigger the discount?
do i then pay ,collect phone then see customer service or do i have to leave the shop first ?
am i right in thinking i just tell them i think i have been overcharged then see what they say if they are not forthcoming with r & r then tell them i have just noticed the sign whilst getting served etc
sorry but if i am going to do it i want to do it properly
thanks0 -

Buy £40 worth of shopping....choose either the Pebl, Ericson or Nokia 6111, stick it in your trolley, go to the checkout and pay
Checkout operator will look confused when he scans the phone (he is being prompted to ask you if you want to buy airtime- you say no) - do nothing and he/she will charge you the full price for the phone- discount won't come off, keep your gob shut until you get to CS, don't say anything until you have the phone in your hand, you could even walk away and go out of the shop for about 5 mins (have a ciggie if you smoke)- walk back in and find a leaflet- Now armed with the leaflet -say I think ive been overcharged ?
They may offer you the difference- HAVE NONE OF IT !!!!!
just say "oh I thought the policy was" >>>>>>> or point to the big blue sign, keep calm all the time and you have a brand spanking new phone for nothing !
good luck
You can get the phone tonight before they close and before they fix the glitch- get refund in the morning, you only need the leaflets as proof0 -

It's just not good enough Frequent, all this time spent triple r'ing when you should be asking her what refunds she processed today?Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0
