Also noticed stands with offers on for bundles psp, xbox 360, ps2, now the xbox 360 in the store I was in had at least 2 bundles 1 with game of the week but still out was the bundle with the old game. I assume that because they have changed how you purchase the bundle that the old bundle will still scan at £179.99.

Hi Constantine. Are you allowed to give us further info on the numbers on the SEL's & barcodes, & what to look out for.
(Quite understand if you can't do that)

I have posted it before, but I guess at that start of a new thread is a good place for it. There is nothing secret about it.

I'll edit it back in to this post once I find it.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Agree with not having a daily update for the reasons already stated.

However, it might be useful to put this one at the top of the thread as an example to refer newbies to. They can then see the range of 'overcharges' that could be made at any one period in time.

I spotted my first product of my own the other afternoon, meat, but when I got home to post it, someone had beaten me to it. I'll keep checking though.

    Cheers everyone

Rouse - stir up, wind up (informal), provoke, incite, move, galvanize to stir somebody into action or to become more active

Ladies & Gentlemen...it does not take a genius to work out who the name alias apply to on MSE. Let me personally thank Clasico (Clasics) for this information.

Someone on MSE has sent me a PM about something that he bought today. He hasn't posted it on MSE yet, as he wants to get it sorted out with HO first. However, I think it's safe enough to post it here. There was a pallet in the store with a couple of these beauties sited on it. There was a sign on the pallet saying "x". He went home to check the price online and saw it was £x Off he dashes back to the store and buys one. He's taking it up with HO. It's a regular poster on MSE, by the way. Anyway, keep an eye on the TVs. He's not going to post it on MSE at all now, as they would easily be able to ID him from the post.

He must be bulk-pm'ing as he's sent me one as well. Very interesting.

Wow, that's a biggie and just what this forum is for! Do we know what this looks like or any more info, was it an out-of-date SEL do you know?

Anyway, for those wondering, the link originally took you to website..and very nice it is, too!

306NOTOUT has been talking to me offline - he wanted advice about a tv...

OK, its definite R&R opportunity. I don't have the bottle to do it. The SEL was removed by the store and the bloke "thanked" me for saving them from a refund!

oh and last but not least....

29-10-2006, 2:40 PM Amishi Hmmmm....surely not a high value television perchance? QUOTE]

Thank you once again Clasics, please do try the Sheffield area again.
You're thanking the wrong person, do thank Clasics though :kisses3: after all, it was he who gave us the thumbs up to monitor those less than genuine customers who flocked to said TV and proceeded to do a LOT of checking. Thanks, we now have a lot of footage.

    Very little helps :naughty::naughty:

I must agree that I think actually putting a list together, although I'm sure done with the best possible motives might actually be back-firing on us.
Any MSE worth their salt should be prepared to put in the leg work going to the stores and checking the shelves, but most importantly spend the time trawling these threads.
In principal it is a great idea to have one comprehensive list - but in the hands of Tesco spies, you are doing their job for them, and saving THEM the time of searching all the pages - and you never know they may have missed a few which gives us all who don't miss them, more of a chance.
Surely we all write our own list before we go 'shopping' of things which we will be looking for. We know we have spies, some more open and honest than others - but they get paid by T's to help the company, we don't. Let Tesco's do their own price integrity work.

I'm not keen on the list to be honest I'd rather pick out the items I'm interested in from the thread. I can appreciate the motive but its a pain having to scroll past it.

Been to Arena Coventry every day this week and Mr T is definately on top of his game. Nothing to be had. It's quite clear they're watching this. I think a PM system would be better.
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.
  • Although I am new to this I also think the list should be scrapped. All it is doing is letting Tesco off the hook by providing easy pickings for them to check.
