Ladies & Gentlemen...it does not take a genius to work out who the name alias apply to on MSE. Let me personally thank Clasico (Clasics) for this information.

Someone on MSE has sent me a PM about something that he bought today. He hasn't posted it on MSE yet, as he wants to get it sorted out with HO first. However, I think it's safe enough to post it here. There was a pallet in the store with a couple of these beauties sited on it. There was a sign on the pallet saying "x". He went home to check the price online and saw it was £x Off he dashes back to the store and buys one. He's taking it up with HO. It's a regular poster on MSE, by the way. Anyway, keep an eye on the TVs. He's not going to post it on MSE at all now, as they would easily be able to ID him from the post.

He must be bulk-pm'ing as he's sent me one as well. Very interesting.

Wow, that's a biggie and just what this forum is for! Do we know what this looks like or any more info, was it an out-of-date SEL do you know?

OK, its definite R&R opportunity. I don't have the bottle to do it. The SEL was removed by the store and the bloke "thanked" me for saving them from a refund!
oh and last but not least....
29-10-2006, 2:40 PM Amishi Hmmmm....surely not a high value television perchance?
Sleep well. You're thanking the wrong person, do thank Clasics though :kisses3: after all, it was he who gave us the thumbs up to monitor those less than genuine customers who flocked to said TV and proceeded to do a LOT of checking. Thanks, we now have a lot of footage.
Very little helps0 -

I know these are scanning at £169.99 and are online at £169.99..but cardboard advertisment says 10% off ( no SEL near to say actual price is £153 or £169.99...but with the other mobiles on the big stand across the store they are £169.99£900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x0 -
I always feel very nervous when going to R+R meat.I have done it once before on some sirlion steak last week which I had for dinner last night.(very nice too) But I feel like I know I`m gunna get caught out by the CSA.To me you see the price per Kg on SEL and it dont match on the pack of meat,so why pick it up and pay for it at the more expenisve price.Surely that is accepting it at the pack price not the SEL price?
I seen some of those stuffed chickens but to be honest I think my bottle has dropped on the meat front.
I feel fine about everything else and confindent,it`s just the meat it`s scary.
I need some sort of explaination as why I want it refunding.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -

"I thought the lower shelf ticket price would be charged at the till" is a good one. Puts the onus back on Tesco for having 2 prices displayed.
EDIT Don't mention 'shelf edge label', or 'SEL', it's a 'ticket' for the customer who is unaware of the Tesco lingo.0 -

All you need to know is that if the pack per kg is higher than the sel per kg, you will be charged the pack price per kg so therefore have been overcharged and that is why you want it refundingThey've got cars big as bars

I do not agree with Megazoid.
"So basic run down
SEL expired or not is and Invitation To Treat
you taking products to the till is The OFFER to purchase the goods at the price you were Invited to treat at.
Till operator selling you the goods is and acceptance of The OFFER.
Hence contract concluded. Item Miss priced Tescos policy comes into force."
Strictly legally speaking I do not agree with the analysis.
Either the till operator scanning the goods and offering at a (higher) different price could be construed as a COUNTER-OFFER, thus the contract is concluded when you agree to pay the amount offered.
Or, and I think more likely, the parties were never ad idem (of the same mind) and accordingly agreement could not have been reached (that is you thought you were buying at one price and the seller thinks they are allowing purchase at another).
Having said that CS are unlikely to know all of this and it is always worth a try.0 -

IF you should be asked by CS why (and I never have and most of my R&R's are meat) you bought, it is because you expected the discount to be applied at the tills. You only noticed that it hadn't when you were checking your reciept prior to leaving.;){Signature removed by Forum Team}0 -
So what is the difference when picking up a game or anything else that has a different price and you know it will scan at the higher price and then getting the refund0

if a price is at a different location than the product and it is the same product is this the selling price???0
