icantbelieveit wrote:Went to my local Metro on the look out and saw Splinter Cell for 24.77, and remembered seeing someone mention it on here, and as all the other games were in the high 20's thought it could possibly be a misprice! After much deliberating, and picking up some bread and fish as to not look dodgy if i decide not to buy it, went to the till. But the damn thing came up for the price shown on the shelf, so had to make the excuse i had forgotten my card and can i not have the game. Felt awful doing it, really dodgy, but i was so hopingthe price would be wrong
Anyway, will try again, do you experts think that friday could be a good day to try again as they change the game of the week and could not change the label for splinter cell back to normal price?
The R&R on the splinter cell has been on the XBOX games only. Sounds like you might have picked up a PS2 version or other format ??0 -

It was on Splinter cell on the PS2 at the beginning of the week. It was scanning at 29.97, by Thursday it was £24.77. HTHReal men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0 -

More generally one of the problems with "surfers" is that you simply cannot be sure about anything or anyone - you can have an idea, or a gut feeling, but you can never be 100% sure.
I have no doubt that some of the more viciforous posters on this forum stumble around Tescos in a nice quiet fashion, all pale and blinky, after tearing themselves away from their PC for a couple of hours.
