    i think its stealing personally

Well if thats the unqualified, unresearched, "off the top of the head" remark from someone advocating moving to a private website for RandRers, then god help you all who have given an email or IP address.

I wont feed the trolls any more on this subject, as theres a thread designated for this subject.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

its an opinion only, i have never done any r and r ing, im still entitled to an opinion

Not sure how having a differing opinion makes me bad, or means i will take over peoples mind by their choice to join my site (which by the way, im not publicising over these forums- word has clearly gor round)

Guys, please stop arguing over trivialities.

Some large pack spare rib chops out there for the taking.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

I could well agree with everything you say...except the bold bit.....

and may I ask, what qualifies you to justify, what the majority of Tesco Employees do, or dont do...as the case may be.

and before anyone mentions respect, I have respect for the majority of Tesco employees I have met, or talked to on here.

As has already been said, no one knows who is who on this site (I presume). I speak with great knowledge and qualified to make the statement I did otherwise I wouldn't have made it.
The bottom line is this forum is part of MoneySavingExpert - Consumers' revenge where each and every one of us can share retail questions, tips and obviously pricing errors. I personally have been receiving Martins emails for a long time now and last week was the first time I came on to the forum. Let's not rip each other apart guys. I believe this person to be genuine - most surfers are - if not good at grammar and spelling!! Lots of people on this site are serial r and r's - good luck to them - but when someone 'says how it is' in an honest way, lets not slate them.
    Thanks for your feedback anyway!!

I will make an effort not to post here again. I see what people mean about this place being unfriendly, and why some joined mine coz of that

Laura, reason I dont want this arguing to go is this:

The mods have warned us that they will shut this thread permanatly if we can't keep it all cool and friendly.

Agree with u this isn't the most friendly board on mse..but please don't not post just because of that.

Some of us are very nice friendly guys :)

I am going to try my first R&R, if i use the self scan, will it DEFINATELY be the same price as the tills as I don't want to have to pay £40 for the game when I could get it elsewhere cheaper.

    Thanks

Do you mean the self scan tills or the price checker?

Self scan tills will charge the same price as a mainbank till. There is a tiny chance the price checker could be incorrect (to do with how they are updated), but it is pretty unlikely.

yes it's safe - go for it.
If it does go wrong, simply take it back to the desk for a refund.
There really is nothing to lose :D

one little bit of advice though - if you've read on here (recently) that an item is scanning at xx.xx and that if you find a SEL of xx.xx (lower obviously) then trust that info and go for it, rather than risking being seen using the price checker and getting caught out that way.

If you use the self scan payment things, then the system usually flags up for assistance (as the games need to be removed from the security cases) and at this point, if you're not happy to proceed, simply ask the assistant to cancel it because you've left your wallet in the car or something.

It can be nervewracking the first few times but it gets easier.

What i enjoy now is when you get a friendly CS who is keen on telling you that you get a refund AND keep the product, and you feel like you have to act surprised to maintain the illusion.
    Have fun.

ah right sorry Constantine, no I just assumed you had one.

I've got a fault with an Xbox 360 I got from Tesco, anyone know if they'll fix it for me if i've lost the reciept please?
One point I would make on this, if the item is faulty you are entitled to a full refund or replacement under your statutory rights, if however you accept a repair or exchange you then forfeit your right to a refund in the future should you have a similar problem, this is the case with ANY retailer not just Tesco, so in brief if you accept anything other than a refund in the first instance you cannot enforce the retailer to refund at a later date.

With ANY retailer you should always insist on a refund in such circumstances, by all means walk straight back to the counter and purchase another, but you will still retain your original statutory rights in this scenario ie the right to opt for a refund if you have further difficulties.
