I wonder if Chris has hit the manager yet? LOL
I agree Little John, more annoyed they have taken it to sky, and no longer available through freeview. Will have to keep my eye out for the series at mr T, r&r of course!!!;)As my sig, seems to be offending some. I have removed it, god bless you mr T.0 -

MyUserNamesTaken wrote:Dude, I've got to disagree with you on this. TS is very interested in the falsely advertised saving Tesco displayed and the time it took Tesco to rectify it. If you get a nice TS officer, they will also put pressure on Tesco to honour the policy and refund the customer. Most of the time, however, they will investigate Tesco and take action if necessary. I would say it's well worth a complaint to TS, as this particular issue is worse than your normal, run of the mill misprice. It's blatant false advertising which Tesco became aware of pretty quickly, yet did not act fast enough to resolve. I don't think Tesco can claim a defence of "Due Diligence" on this one. The more people who report Tesco for the Xbox 360 misleading savings advert, the more likely TS is to follow through and actually take Tesco to court for it.
Some time ago, I complained to TS about one of my locals. TS sent an officer to the store to investigate. This lead to massive back-tracking from the manager, who apologised profusely. TS told him that they would be paying him regular visits over the next few months. The TS who dealt with it kept me informed the whole time.
Hey, it's about time someone disagreed with me
I think the famous wine example you quote is clear-cut - the XBOX is not - this is why those who have gone for it are facing an uphill struggle and grief from Head Office.
Trading Standards are not interested in R&R - they are interested in mis-leading prices - perhaps that's why you had some success - and good for you seeing it through.
I believe that with the current XBOX polava that Trading Standards are simply not going to be interested - because the only Dudes who have been mis-lead and are complaining are all intentional R&Rers.

Did you know that Tesco do not have a person at HO who you can speak to challenge any part of their Price Promise. Not one. I was even informed that Mr Leahy 'would not deal with something like that.' ?????????? I find that really strange as the Price Promise is an integral part of their Customer Service Dept.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Hi All, I found this thread a few weeks ago by mistake and haven't looked back since, it is totally consuming. The only reason I haven't posted before is because my original user name wasn't suitable for this thread and I couldn't change it.
I think I will only be a amateur as I struggle with time to keep up with the posts let alone cruise round Mr T's.
Saying that I hit 2 on the way home yesterday and although I didn't find anything big both had the same meat mis-prices.
Pork shoulder joint SEL 2.45 / kg but some priced at 2.85 / kg and
Organic lamb chops SEL 11.98 / kg, both stores had a mixture of correctly re-labelled packs and incorrect original packs at 12.98 /kg.
R&R on both without any questions, hope they taste as good as the argentinean steaks.0 -
cant we move on and wait for the next one i'm sure there must be something round the corner. a clean cut one0
