Also with the Dude...
...after all, what is one Xbox compared to a lifetime's worth of regular free crisps, chocolates, pork chops, beef steaks and even Freibier (free beer) every now and then.
Play it with prudence, avoid the radar: thus may the Tesco horn of plenty keep showering its blessings onto thee.0 -
What is the difference between 'save £19.96' and only £17.97 coming off and 'save £20' and nothing coming off? It is still the same in my eyes they have not honoured the wording of the offer, regardless of whether the final price is still right by way of default in their system. It is up to the shop surely to check that their prices and advertising match up to each other so the customer actually gets what they think is the price saving. Not for the store to come up with some 'get out' clause after the sale has been made. They have made the sale and taken my money, I have the goods thus ends the contract surely? Or am I wrong?DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Hi
Am a newbie to all this so could be talking rubbish but if the ticket is not yellow promo surely there will be no prompt to the operator to reduce the item meaning this is Tesco fault that there is an overcharge and not the individual serving?0 -
Guess it's the same as them telling you the price they are going to charge and them actually charging it!!!!
99% of customers pay exactly what they think they were suppossed to pay and it's only those who are looking to get one for nothing who seem to be getting upset,
With the Dude on this one: it seems to be so open to interpretation that can't see the point in raising the profile within the store. Think i will stick with the idea of buying something because I want to, not because I think it's a potential RnR. then when they !!!! up next time I can go buy without worrying about being followed or even worse worrying about being banned for taking my case up with HO.
Life's too short to let Mr T's take it over.0 -
i had a bit of an issue today where the lady at CS tried to tell me (politely i do have to say) that although the price per KG is lower on the SEL than on the packets of willow farm chicken breasts, that the lower per KG price is only for stickered packs. I pointed out that the label should say this and she said it was obvious as the higher KG was printed on the packs. this is OBVIOUSLY a case of two differing prices and being charged the illegally higher price, she kept saying tesco were in the clear, organised the chicken breasts so that the yellow promotional stickered packs were above the SEL and the higher priced ones were still left on the shelf next to the cheaper ones. she did offer me R&R (without prompting) and was lovely about it but was clearly in the wrong.
my question is this: when you are overcharged do you always write to trading standards? i have never done so but would be willing to in light of numerous misprices my family have probably gone through.:A Boots Tart :A0 -

I want it, that is why I brought it. Not for me crisps, chocolate, breakfast cereals, books etc, if I went for them with the regularity they come up my 'profile' would raised as much as one big one. Surely that is what HO is there for, to sort out problems that cannot be sorted out at store level. I have nothing to hide or fear. I am still flushed and shaking after being made to feel like a criminal. The manager refused to give me his name and kept calling me "Darlin' " in a very condesending manner. Eventually, I was passed over to customer services on their phone at the desk after arguing for nearly an hour on the shop floor with customers and staff watching and pointing at me. I then had a further hour expressing my point of view (arguing) with a series of people on the phone culminating with a very nasty Kevin K---y, who threatened to ban me from the store(this is my first r+r ever, by the way). "We will give you £2 for the difference and that's your lot", I was told throughout.
I have complained to Tranding Standards and they have told me that there are 2 potential criminal offences that they will investigate. Mispricing and misadvertising.
Where did I go wrong?
Any ideas?
Might be able to help you with this and feel this is perfect to be a test case which https://www.tesco-complaint.blogspot.com would like to follow through to show others how to take a r&r case to the small claims and make Tesco take notice. If you are seething at Tesco can I suggest that you make a blog entry on tesco-complaint and we will take it from there. My friend Richard runs the site and we have a qualified lawyer on board so we will do everything we can (free of course)- you will just need to be prepared to see it through and be prepared to blog about it. What do you think?.0 -
if tescos think they are in the clear with the xbox why did they take all the displays down?0
