Morning All!
Really nothing to report - it's soooo dull being financially organised..... not debt-free, just organised so I know what is going where and when! Looking forward to Friday when I can change my signature.
Only thing I can think of is that I reckon my tax code should change from April onwards as I am currently repaying a £29 shortfall from 2009/2010. Will have to keep an eye out for that!!!
Hope everyone is well and bowling along on their DFW mission? Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Nat, i think all our tax codes will change this time around as i have a feeling we get to earn another 1k before we have to pay tax. i could be wrong though.
Unfortunately we have to pay another 1% NI as well. The government giveth and then taketh away.
The lull before paydays is always boring spreadsheet wise isn't it? i get paid on friday but have already done next months account, just can't wait until i get to do all the transfers.0 -
Hi LT!
Ooh, I will have to investigate that - I wonder if that leaves us better or worse off?? (yeah right!)
I don't even have any transfers to do apart from paying the CC bill when its due. Everything else moves of its own accord now! It is nice to be organised, but it aint 'alf boring! lol
Ooh - a little piece of excitement...... my £80 is showing as validated on Q.co for swapping gas and elec suppliers!
Scuttles off to research changes to this years tax codes! :O)start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

OK folks.....
Link to personal allowance = http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/rates/it.htm showing an increase in tax free allowance from £6475 to £7475.
And here for the National Insurance = http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/rates/it.htm showing an increase from 11% to 12% contribution.
Could someone else run a comparison based on their wages, as I seems to be about £745 a year better off come this April!! ?start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!

I love it!!!
I have just made my spreadsheet even better!!!!!!! I have discovered how to format the column that contains my 'running balance' so that each cell is now shaded green if it is a positive figure and red if it is negative!!! GO ME, GO ME!!!! lol (simple minds and all!)start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Yeah, so! With pondering over my calculations last night, and have come to the conclusion that I am wrong!
I allowed an extra £1000 (which is the increase in the tax free allowance) when I actually should have only allow the amount of tax that I will save on it!!! DOH! So..... I reckon it will be roughly even stevens. Will be back later with a more accurate conclusion!
Have a good day everyone! :Tstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
