Good morning!
Well its a bit on the wet and blustery side here this morning - on the upside, my office is nice and dry and warm.
So - it's payday! YAY! (even I am getting slightly bored of celebrating this fact 52 times a year) I have updated my signature ... £500 paid!! This feels like it is going on F O R E V E R! And it is really - 165 weeks to go! lol But it's getting there... and that's all that matters!
What's everyone upto this weekend then? I have to dye my hair and paint my nails this evening - wedding to attend tomorrow! Would usually go for a nice neutral nail colour, but where I painted them black last weekend, there are still little streaks of black that I cannot shift for love nor money, so they will be going black again tonight. Well, I am wearing black to the wedding, so it will be ok!
Tomorrow morning I need to go into town in the morning - need card and present for the wedding, tights, card for valentines day, card for my mums birthday, card for a friend, card for my step-dads b'day. So will have to get a wriggle on as I need to get home and work out how I am going to style my hair!! That could take a while as my hair never wants to play-ball when I need it to! My dress kinda lends itself to do with a sleek updo..... but we will see (any handy tips gladly received!)
Sunday - now that needs to start with a cooked breakfast, and then it is going to be a home doing day! I need to go through the drawers, be tough and chuck out all my redundant clothes, the beds need changing, everything just generally needs a sort out. So that will be fun!Might stick dinner in the slow-cooker, then we can just steam some veg, have a quick dinner and I can go out to play poker!!!
So - thats me! Note there is virtually no mention of pennies in the above post .... its because they are all behaving nicely!!! Money is moving as and when it should. BORING though!!
Right - catch you all later!

I HATE FEBRUARY!!!!
(sorry, good mornng everyone!)
But I do.... at least financially!!! Just manage to recover from the ridiculous spend of christmas and get on an even keel and then..... OH's birthday, Valentines Day, Mums 60th, Step-Dads birthday, friends birthday - and on top of that there was the hen-do and wedding! (although I was good and wore an outfit I already had to the wedding, and due to not drinking for 4 weeks the hen-do was cheaper than it could have been! And for some reason although there are 4 paydays in Feb, just like Jan, the money seems to be curiously low. Roll on April with its 5 paydays. At least by being organised I know where all my money isn't! lol
I want Q.co to pay out..... £88.90 pending there which is going into the household bills account to reduce its OD.
My contract with Virgin is up in the next week or so, so I will be doing a bit of research to see if its worth changing to someone like Sky or BT Vision (anyone know anything about BT Vision?)
Am house / dog sitting from Sat for my boss (aka ex-BoyF). Within walking distance of work so thats a bonus.... expecially as next week I have an hour or so journey to a large retail park to try on my bridesmaid dress for my brothers wedding - which is in 2012!!!! And I thought I was organised! lol
Right, I need to go and finish ordering bits for OH's birthday! It's Friday and there's not a lot to give him so far!!

Seriously Nat I think it's so unfair for you to hate the one month that brings my payday the quickest!!! I think there should be more February's in a year.:p
Your challenge is to meet all your outgoings without borrowing, you've had at least a years notice for these events I'm sure you saved up and were all prepared:rotfl:
It sounds so easy in theory doesn't it;)

Good morning OBNW!
Thank you for pointing out the obvious - "Yes, I know these events happen every year, but they always seem to catch me unawares!"
Does borrowing from myself count? Its purely cashflow you see!! I can put everything on my Tesco CC and then pay that from my old OD account (if I am a bit short) and then repay the old OD account during March.... when using my forecast spreadsheet I appear to have some more pennies available!!!
March is good as my b'day is at the end and I will get some pennies from my mummy!
April is good this year.... 5 paydays to start!! Then I have booked the 12,13,14th off to give me 5 days off in total as it is my weekend off. And then, I have booked the 26,27,28th off to give me a total of 9 days off thanks to the bank holidays!! (Have to work good friday though!) Will be decorating over these 9 days though - have money tucked away to do this...... anyone got any tips on wallpapering apart from paying someone to do it??? lol
Have updated my signature to include the cashback I am due - I had a bit of an OCD day yesterday and 'had' to keep checking Q.co to see if anything extra had tracked or changed status or been paid!! Gave myself a bit of a talking too as even I thought this was a bit excessive and have looked only once today! Will have to play with my spreadsheet this afternoon to keep me occupied!

Nats I wouldn't ignore this verbal warning because you'll only have to send yourself a written warning if you do!LBM- finally kicked in 16/12/08 @ [strike]£41,862 [/strike] £0.00/ DFD- 24/12/13

lol about verbal warnings.
Nats i know it feels boring that it's all under control now (touches wood etc) but at least now you get to change your signature each week and your debt IS COMING DOWN! which is a major achievement.0 -
OB.... I did get a little worried yesterday, I just could not ignore this compulsion to look - it was as if looking was going to change something!!! So, I recalled the old addage of " a watched kettle never boils" (or something like that) and vowed to 'get a grip!' lolstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
