Wow, this week has gone fast.... cant believe this time last week I was jet-skiing!!! hey-ho! It was a great time!!
So, a little update from me.....- Free fiver from bingo company has reached my account and been transfered across to my old OD.
- £1.83 received from Q.co - has been transfered to my old OD.
- First flat wage this week since my payrise (been overtime on the others!) - now I know what my base wage is... spreadsheet to be tweaked this afternoon.
- All relevant paperwork has been scanned and forward to the Ombudsman... just trying to be patient now!
- Letter has been started for claiming for the flight delay... just waiting for 1 part of the group to drop their receipts for breakfast into me! Yawn!! lol
- The sun is supposed to be shining this weekend, so I will be tidying the garden - and working on topping my tan up... its amazing how quickly it fades!!
Have a great weekend all - hope you get some sunshine!!! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hi All!
Quick drop in ... really, only because I haven't written for ages (have been reading though!)
Am off on holi-bob this weekend. I really don't think we should, but OH has different ideas and as it is his money funding it... and he is happy to fund it.. then I will enjoy myself! DSS has decided for the first time in 8 years he would like to get on a plane.. so I suppose it would be silly to ignore such an opportuniy to all have a week in the sun!
Everything is just plodding at the moment... nothing exciting at all. No money from either claim yet - hopefully not too much longer!!
Hope you are all well and enjoy the lovely summer weather we have been having?
Be back in a week or so... Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Good morning All!
Well, it's been a while - so I thought I should update....
Not a lot.
Been on holiday - it was lovely. OH and I spent last weekend at my Dads; did a BBQ and went to a fab airshow.
For £20, picked myself up a £40 voucher to spend on a discount shoe website... BARGAIN!!!
No news from the energy Ombudsman.
Holiday company (strangely enough) declined my claim for the delayed flight - looks like a might have a bit of a battle... the first part of the battle is now finding out who's fault the delay is as it would appear that the flight number and carrier changed between receiving our Invoice and the tickets. Hmmm, interesting!!
I am house-sitting for 14 days in September. Pennies from that should clear my old HSBC OD and then I can start diverting the money I am paying into there weekly into a savings account....
.... for OH's 50th birthday in 2015. I know it's about 18 months away, but he would love to go to Iceland (country not food shop!!) so I had better get saving!!
My tax code has changed - for the worse. Apparently I am already £60 behind this year and a total of £175 down on my payments for 2012-2013. This is due to the cost of the private medical insurance supplied by my employer changing half way through each year. The one small saving grace is that next month the premium on the insurance is due to be substantially reduced, so I will forward a copy of the new certificate as soon as I get it instead of waiting til next April and hopefully they will re-adjust my code!!! What a nightmare!
Right, that's it from me... for now. Just plodding along... hoping for that euromillions win!!! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Ooooh Iceland is beautiful ! I have no idea where in the country you are, but I went there by Icelandair a couple of years ago, they were doing package tour things ... checkout their website, were some really good deals around. Remember your swimsuit, the Blue Lagoon is worth a swim ! Take plenty cash too, Its an expensive place to visit. Im just reading http://www.amazon.co.uk/Names-Sea-Strangers-Sarah-Moss/dp/1847084168/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377858450&sr=8-1&keywords=%22names+for+the+sea%22 on the kindle ... All about a lecturer who moved to Iceland . Very interesting bookIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0

Happy Monday morning Peeps!!
Work has been manic recently, which is mostly great... but affects my web-time!! lol
As usual, I am pleased to announce that on Friday, I moved money around (properly left, right and centre this week), OH payment was made and all my accounts match my spreadsheet!!
I will update my 'update list' below...natsplatnat wrote: »For £20, picked myself up a £40 voucher to spend on a discount shoe website... BARGAIN!!!
No news from the energy Ombudsman. Still no news.
Need to write another letter.

Iceland.... for OH's 50th birthday in 2015. Been thinking about this... 18 months is 78 weeks, so... @ £10 a week, gives me £780 = not enough. @ £20 a week gives me £1560, which is more like it, but it means that it diverts the whole £20 that I am currently using to clear my old OD (old OD should be clear in a couple of weeks!). Food for thought. Might aim for £10 a week + O/time + any cashback earnt and see how I get on!!
My tax code has changed - for the worse. No news yet on new health insurance costs.
We have a weekend away to organise at the end of September... visiting OH's aunt so hopefully not too expensive, and then I am meeting up with my Uni girls at the end of October for a night in, so just fuel, nibbles and a bottle or two (or 3.. or 4 - old habits die hard!!)
Must get back in the habit of submitting shopping receipts to 'snap-save' or whatever it was called (there's one on TCB and one on Q.co). It's easy and there really is no reason not to. As I am shopping pretty much for myself for 2 weeks, I will look at the cashback thats available before I got shopping and purchase accordingly (only if it's a worth it though!)
I think that pretty much covers it all... oh, apart from the fact that we may be adopting a cat... but that is a whole another long story. lol
