I Love Free Money!!
Just got another email from the online bingo company I have used in the past...."deposit £10 and we'll give you an extra £5 free!"
So I did, and then withdrew the whole £15 .... just like last time!!
I could get used to this!! :O)start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Morning All! Friday again - feels like a weekly confessional... not that I have anything to confess!
Life in all aspects is just ticking along quite nicely. Money is all behaving (just hope my Grand National bets behave too!) and my spreadsheets are all bang up to date and tickety-boo!
Money has been received from the bingo site and I opened a new betting site for the National via my OH's TCB account, so hopefully that will track ok and I will get a payout as I opened his account via a referal link to mine!!
Thats all for now folks!!!! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Ooh, would urge anyone who has had a SSE utility account at any point since 2009 to read the latest article on them being fined for doorstep-selling and compensation for incorrect information being used to get you to change supplier. In my case I changed and initially my DD's were the same as my previous supplier, but in 6 months they had more than doubled!!
Compensation letter will be winging its way in their direction shortly!!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Just registered my complaint with SSE for their dodgy door-step selling practices back in 2009. Nice man on the end of a free phone number.... should hear back within 3 weeks. I make that the 1st May!! I hope to have happy news before then!!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

As I have not received notification of my new tax code, I have done some digging and using the new standard code of 944L, I have used an online calculator and by their reckoning, I will be £6.51 better off come next week!!
Now the question is.... What do I do with this extra money???start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Good morning all my DFW friends! Here I am again!
It is my favourite day of the week (have I said that before??). Money has been moved around. My old OD is now down to -£297.57, but the balance actually reads -£227.57 as I have borrowed £70 from the household account in a bid to help reduce the interest. This will move back to the household account next Tuesday. Later in the month, I will borrow £180 from the same account for about a week to do the same thing. It's all about making my money work the best for me!! Although, unless you are a spreadsheet geek I wouldn't recommend it!! :O)
As I often do, I have been musing over my possible compensation claim from SSE. Now, my way of thinking is that if I was paying £46 a month for dual fuel with my previous supplier and they said I could fix my rate at £45 a month for a year (I was out of contract with my old supplier and was looking around as prices were going up), but I only paid 6 months at £45 and then my DD went up to £112 then realistically (hopefully) they will owe me 6 x £67 (112-45) = £402. Does my logic work!??
We shall see!
Not a lot on the agenda this weekend - which is nice!
Laters everyone, have a cracking weekend - hope you all get some sunshine!!!! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
