This whole not really having to move money around thing is really boring!!
It will all start again in January though as I try to make as much interest on my money as possible to boost the "Iceland" fund!
I have decided that I will be opening OH a Nationwide account so I can run money through there and make use of their 5% gross interest rate. My account will be at the point next week where they don't pay interest on any greater balances! (this is money that I am re-paying to OH weekly, so don't get too excited that I suddenly have some real savings!! lol)
Had a great weekend away last week - they say a sign of good friends is that you can catch up after not seeing each other for months and you just carry on as if you last saw each other last week!
Must start thinking about Christmas - eurgh! Massiver reduction on expenditure this year.... even OH agrees!
Right, as there is not really anything else to report, I am going to leave you all and wish you all a great weekend! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Q.co Opinions up to £5.00!! Slowly, slowly catchy money!!
Oh, and I signed up to another survey site where you get 'paid' points for completing surveys and you can convert them to N3ctar Points. I have a points balance of 1000, so that's 1000 NP! Will go towards a few bits for Xmas. Need to spend some time on Adpoints as well to boost my NP balance.
Right, I am at work... so I suppose I should really do some! :O)
Have a great weekend all! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Just to make a note on here to remind me that I spoke to our accounts lady / book-keeper about live PAYE (where they can update my details to the tax man via my weekly wages).
She will update the value they have for my health insurance as it has come down in cost as of August this year.
Hopefully this will help balance out the underpayment from last year (that they are planning on collecting from next April) and also the underpayment I accrued between April and September of this year.
I will keep and eye on this and (because I am sure you are all enthralled) keep you updated! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

FRIIIIIIIDAAAAAAY!
Morning All! Hope you are all well?
Fridays have definitely lost their appeal a little since I stopped moving money every week. It's great that it is all ticking along, but a little dull - I almost feel a bit detached from it all. I suppose I should treat it as a bit of a respite though, because come January it's all going to start again!! YAY!
Best log the things that I still need to do....- Change / reduce TV, broadband package
- Open savings account for OH
- Pay CC bill - not managed to get this paid earlier as I had hoped

Good news is I had a quick count up (can't stand not knowing)there is £4.48 in my secret change pot to add to the Iceland fund already. I will need to start shifting money into this in January... should make Fridays more exciting again! lol
Have researched changing TV etc and at the mo, I can get £170 cashback + £100 vouchers! Bargain!!

Morning All!
Have spent the morning at work playing around with my spreadsheets - such simple pleasures!!!
I am waiting for the paperwork to come through for OH's NW account, so I have been working out the simplest way of running both the accounts, maximising interest on both of them and making sure they each have £1000 put through them each month. Oh, the fun I have had!! I have decided to lump £2000 into OH's new account and then keep topping mine up (just means less moving around). I will put another £500 into OH's in January and then that is his full and I can just build mine up again! Mucho-interest!! :O)
Laters!! xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Morning All!
Friday again! And that really is as exciting as it gets!! I have just been playing around with my spreadsheets to keep my interest up!!
Oh, and I won a competition... not sure I can say too much until it has happened, but I am off to a nearby foreign country for a weekend to drive a new car that hasn't been released yet! Unfortunately as there will be photos taken that will be published (gulp!!) I need some new clobber - I have 2 weekends to make myself stylish on a budget! lol, I love a challenge!!
Nothing new on the cashback or survey balances.
OH still can't make a bloomin' decision about the TV package (but he has been feeling a bit sniffly and getting even an easy decision out of him has been hard work this week!).
Need to locate an account for the Iceland fund - it's still quite an odd feeling to be looking for accounts to maximise my earning potential, rather than trying to minimise my debit interest. I think I might need to swap an account to 1stDirect and take advantage of one of their accounts!?
Laters fellow DFWbe'ers ... have a great weekend!! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
