I'm here too :hello: don't write often though..... just checked your signature out only 29 more weeks wow..... I remember when you were deciding whether to take him up on his kind offer and now it's nearly done_party_ what the heck are you going to do with an extra £400 quid a month???? I think I will actually be debt free by the end of Jan, I haven't updated my sig for ages and won't now as Crimbo spending makes it hard to know whats what. Enjoyed your company on this journey :kisses3:
I'm going to hit the shops tomorrow to try and finish my shopping went today but got distracted in cafe rouge by a glass of rouge :)

WOW!! DF by the end of Jan 2014!! That is some debt-crunching Mrs!!

I keep getting distracted in the evenings... a glass or 2 of Pinot hampers my present wrapping progress!

    Happy New Year All!

Apologies first for not being on here at all over the festive period - i have been enjoying some nice quiet, chilled family time.

Secondly, I know it is only Thursday, but I have updated my signature for last week and tomorrow. I have no reason to suspect that my wages won't arrive in my bank tomorrow and I have every confidence that all money that needs to move.... will move!

So? What else to report?.... erm..... not a lot really. OH and I set a present budget for each other of £50 and we both stuck to it! We get more than enough presents from everyone else it seems silly to spend more than we have too. We did however, treat ourselves to a new mattress in the sales (and it was a bargain!) Our existing one is 10 years old and starting to not offer a great level of support - to the point where we both wake up aching. The new one is due here shortly.... I am waiting for the delivery men as I type!

    ......

... sorry, delivery men just been!! = 1 happy Nat! x

Right, off out now to get the last few bits for my parents christmas present - they go abroad every year and dont really do christmas, so they are happy to have their present(s) when they get home... which is Saturday!

Hope everyone has had a great time with friends and family? Here's to a debt-busting 2014!

I think I might be debt free ;) as I've had a bit of a refund for some solicitor fees I paid...... but although the money is in my account with the reference refund I've had no correspondence from them so I don't want to count my chickens........
Anyway I have now joined the mortgage free board and will start on that next :p
Enjoy your second Christmas this weekend x

    Morning All!

Well, it's Friday again!! Money has been moved around as necessary - £10 transferred to an account to put aside for Iceland. A week late starting this, but I am sure I can claw that £10 pack at some point!

CC has been paid for this month. I actually had enough money available to pay my part.... this is a bit of a miracle in its own right for January! Maybe things are starting to move in the right direction??

I have done a bit of OT this week, so that will come through next Friday.... Will see how much it is and work out how to split it (if there is enough) between the Iceland fund and my current account.

I have been asked to house / dog-sit for a week in March - nice to know there is a bit of extra money coming in there (approx. £70-£90).

Food shopping needs to be seriously reduced! I think I will have to take control of this!!

Off to tart around with my spreadsheets!!! Nats x

    Hi All!

Just to log (have amended signature) that the first 2 items have sold e6ay! £32.05 made + postage. Have withdrawn the postage as I don't see why I should be left out of pocket when it is going into the 'family pot!' Another item due to end this weekend - should bring another £60 or £70 or so!!! Need to keep the momentum going!!

Also, I have a new notebook. Fed up with coming across bargains, or deals, or anything else that I need to be at home to look at properly and then not being able to remember (or just not remembering to look) what to look at. Also, I have sectioned in a little 'to do' for all things financial. ie, have jotted down 2 x bank accounts with decentish interest rates for when my Nationwide one expires in March. Todays task was to check my log-in details for an old B4rclay CC I have. It works!! Account balance £0.00! Add this to the list of accounts that I need to close (I have faaaaar too many accounts etc).

Heading back to circuits tonight - man I am going to hurt for the next 2 days!! My own fault though as I haven't been in about 6 weeks!!
