Good morning All! Hope you are not too damp round the edges??

Well, it is that time of the week again - finally managed to log onto my banking (just couldn't get it to work!) and everything is where it should be doing what it does.

I have already moved the necessary £1000 in and out of both the NW accounts to meet the monthly money requirements. The 5% interest on mine reverts to 1% on the 5th March.... must open a new account before then!

I think - for now... that is it! No doubt I will be back if I have forgotten anything!!!

Have transferred £10 to Iceland ... will log the extra Q.co money when it arrives (has been confirmed as paid now!)

Just about to call NS&I and try to get the details I need to close my account.

REALLY need to sort out TV, phone and broadband... bill this month is £86!!! Haven't had a chance to look through the actual breakdown yet... but I am not happy!

Item on e6ay is slowly being bid on. 1 bid on the night I put it live... then nothing for 7 days. It finishes Sunday - but has 25 watchers so fingers crossed it will continue to climb. (rrp £65 so should do ok!)

OH and I have agreed to have a meal in for Valentines day... and only a card each! It is his b'day next week and I have NO idea what to get him - he is being about as useful as a chocolate fireguard with ideas!

Then it is my mums b'day and my step-dads b'day this month too! I really do dislike February!!!!

Quick update from me....

• Have printed and completed a withdrawal and closure form for the NS&I account. :j (turns out I didn't have any online facilities on the account anyway... no wonder I couldn't access it!!) Due £53.05!!

• Have agreed to work an extra 2 Saturdays this month - should nett me about £72 extra. :beer:

Hmm - at work today.. busy but bored.

In light of some news I thought I would write a quick post to log the following...

• news.... I have a weeks house-sitting starting next weekend
• I already have a weeks house and dog sitting in March
• I am working 2 extra Saturdays in Feb
• I have the money from NS&I coming back to me (ear-marked to start a 2opa account or something similar though).

So between now and the 10th March, I have approximately and extra £210.00 coming my way, not including the NS&I money.

I can live with that.... OH is not so happy as I am only home for a week between my 2 separate house-sitting stints. Nevermind... he is a grown man and will survive!!! :rotfl:

Ajh, I also forgot to tell you all (as I am sure you are REALLY interested) that the company book keeper finally came back to me yesterday with the details on my medical cover. Back in August 2013, my monthly fee dropped by £20.00, so since then the HMRC have been basing my tax code on a value that is too high - Must remember to call them on Monday and try to give them the proper values... need to offset last years underpayment!

Really, this is it from me for now (oh, except to say that I added 5p to the Iceland fund last night!!)

70p added to the Iceland fund last night... went out and played poker... came away after a couple of drinks 60p up.... so in its gone along with 2 x 5p pieces from my purse!!

So, as of today, my spreadsheet says that I am £34.91 behind my goal to date to save enough in the Iceland fund for OH's 50th! But... all is not lost as I did mention in the beginning that there will be periods when I am lagging behind and then catch up (may even end up 'ahead' at some point!!)

And there we are! x

Ah, good ol' Q.co - just received confirmation that the £22.11 cashback for my car insurance last October is now available to be paid. So I have requested that... happy Nats!

In theory, that (as of today, here and now!) leaves me only £12.80 short to date for OH's b'day fund!! whoop whoop!
