  • Ps, OBNW - Ah, the nosey genes, I have a pair of those! ;O)

    and matching shoes per chance?

Now I don't want to belittle your tax windfall but my friend at work has a boyfriend that got a cheque in the post yesterday for £10k- a tax rebate as he had been on emergency tax rate for about 5 years and hadn't noticed.

I like this forum but sometimes I think it fixates too much on monetary themes.;)
Hows your old man Nats still healthy and doing well?
What were you thinking of buying me for Christmas post your big lottery win?
    LBM- finally kicked in 16/12/08 @ [strike]£41,862 [/strike] £0.00/ DFD- 24/12/13 :D

Don't knock or mock the shoes.... they are beautiful!

OMG though!! Emergency rate for 5 years!!!! (must be lovely to be so un-bothered with money that you just don't notice!) Wouldn't mind a windfall like that - then I cold buy you a pair of shoes to match your nosey genes too!

OH is doing well thanks - as we like to say everything is ticker-ty-boo! lol

What would you like with my lottery win? Not saying you would get it - just interested.... my nosey genes are on today!

    Hi All!

Well, I have just done something raher DFW / MSE, but in all honesty not particular worthy of my time.

I was out last night, so didn't make sandwiches for work. So, today I popped along to my local Tesco extra and picked up their 'meal deal' sandwiches, drink and crisps. But apparently they no longer do meal deals so the three items cost me at least 45p more than usual. But then, I noticed that the sandwich wrapping still advertised the 'meal deal'. So I have just emails Tesco with photos of the procuts and my receipt attached......... all for around 45p!!

Not worth the time it took - but makes me feel sooo much better!

Oh, and forgot to mention earlier that I came second in our 'end of season' poker tournament, so I am £30 better off!! YAY!

i have to admit i probably would have done the same, it's better in your pocket than in theirs, they have more than enough profit anyway.

Hi! Just a quick one.... is anyone having problems using HSBC's online banking to make payments? It keeps suggesting that I check the funds are available before they can process my request! Well, it's showing on my balance (and has been for 3 days now), so I guess the answer is yes!! Who knows? *rolls eyes*

Hmm - don't even get me started on HSBC!! One day I will leave them completely, but annoyingly they are handy as they are the only bank in the local town open on a Saturday and they do 'faster payments' that really are fast!! Luckily for them, I tried to make my transfer again this morning and it went through!
