I'm so with you on the not quite such a productive weekend. I've had to set OH to blitzing the flat this morning before he goes to work as we have our first viewing tonight (please keep your fingers crossed).
I've also got to sort out OH's insurance tonight or tomorrow and start looking into mine. It's such a job that i hate to do to be honest it always get left to the last minute which is never good.

Hi LT!! I started off all organised about 3 weeks ago looking at insurance quotes and cashback and everything.... and I really don't know where the time has gone, and by the looks of it, I have missed a cashback offer from Q.co as well! There's a lesson learned... or so you would have thought - but I can almost guarantee I will be in the same boat this time next year!!!

oh, on a good note, I am off to the cinema tomorrow to see Footloose - for free!! Check out the 'grabbit' board to see if there are any tickets left if you fancy it!!

i'll have a look at the grabbit board thanks for the info.

i sorted out Mr LT's insurance tonight, by ringing up and asking a couple of questions i got it reduced by another £30 ish which is great. the really annoying bit is that his current insurers said they could do the same when he rang up to cancel - why didn't they just offer that to start with? it's just greed pure and simple!

Hi LT! I have just sorted my insurance this morning! Nothing like leaving it until the last minute - but I was covered on my existing policy until midday! lol

I too have managed to get some money off my policy - YAY! It turns out that my multi car discount was missing and their price online was cheaper than my renewal.... so that gave me about £25 off. Better than a slap in the face with a wet kipper. It just bugs me that it is not easy to see exactly what you are and are not covered for so making comparisons is a bt of guesswork! .... such limited details on my renewal notice. pah! My aim is to have the cash set aside next year to pay for it in full instead of monthly repayments (ooh! Have I said that before??!lol)

Right, back to some productive work! Need to leave on time to get to the cinema!!!

glad you got your insurance sorted with a discount, i'm sure it's not a coincidence that it's not that easy to compare all the insurance sites. enjoy the cinema.

    Good morning all!

I am still here and still reading - just not up for scrutinising every waking moment of my debt-free mission. Don't get me wrong, everything is ticking along nicely, I am just fed up of thinking about it, so for now I am letting it bob along in the background.

Well, we had a lovely time away at the weekend. Nice to catch up with some of OH's family.

I have updated my signature - I have finally managed to start ebaying.... 1 item listed last night for a 10 days auction - and it sold within a couple of hours on a buy-it-now! All paid for already, so that will be packaged tonight and posted tomorrow!

Right, back to doing some proper work! I hope everyone is good and enjoying that chill that's now in the air! I love crisp, dry days!

i know how you feel about been fed up with being obsessed with debt. I'm certainly not on here as much as i used to be which is probably because i've reached a stage where i'm living comfortably now. I could easily go back though, we were looking at a new car yesterday!

Hi LT - and anyone else who is reading!

Well, ebay parcel sent - Am not liking this maximum £2.50 postage thing! I hope that it differs for items that weigh more? I am sure I will find out soon enough! This item was light and cost me a total of £2.42 - wll, I 'spose I made £0.08 out of the postage! lol

First frost of the autumn/winter on my car this morning! Must take some de-icer home from work! :O)

LT - Mmmm ..... new car! I forbid myself from thinking about how much extra my new (bought back in April) car is costing me per year - but.... it does cheer me up, I love driving it! I could have gone for a nice economical car - there are plenty of really groovy ones out there now to choose from - but I went for the one I (and OH) fell in love with! I ran all the figures through my spreadsheet before I committed to buying it, so I knew what the impact was!

Aim for this evening is to try and get 1 more item on ebay.... could do more, but don't want to overload myself with packing etc.

    Right, back to grind!

Have a good day everyone, Nats x

i think the new car is on hold until after we've got our house and sorted out a mortgage and know what we can afford. makes more sense if it is a little boring.
