  • Its keeping the house at around 19 degreees in spring/autumn, well not the whole house but the living room and bedrooms are around 19. The rest of the house is much colder.

I noticed that in spring/autumn mode the system is so much louder though, I'm not too sure why that is.

I also noticed that after switching it to spring/autumn last night, when i got up this morning the immersion symbol was on and the system was back in winter mode....which is also worrying.
  • Hi fossil bob I think you need to switch it off auto operating mode under menu 8. Can you tell me what the exhaust air temeperature is reading under menu 5?

Remember my settings are for a two bed house! Plus its a mid terrance which helps as I only have two external walls. Also I haven't switched to Winter mode yet. Mine is still on Spring/Autumn and it seems to coping all right. Using approx 13KWh per day at the moment.

  • Hi guys,

Thanks for the advice, still having pretty much all the same issues though. Had it in winter mode over the weekend and used 84kwh in a 48 hour period and the house wasn't even warm. Just a steady 19 degrees. Called NIBE who advised to ensure that all of the window vents were fully open and that the wall vents were clear, I live on a fairly main road so now the house is noisy and colder if anything. I cant afford to pay for that much consumption so have switched back to spring/autumn, however again when checked the system before i left this morning again the immersion was on and the system was back in winter mode, I checked and the auto mode is set to no so have no idea what's wrong.

Contacted NIBE again this morning, who are going to arrange for someone to come and have look over the thing for me.

This thing is driving me mad and costing me loads :o(

That's ridiculous. I don't even spend that much in a week for both my daikin aircon units.
  • Hi.
To increase room temperature go to your NIBE 360p and increase your flow temperature,,,,its the dial in the middle....you need to get your flow temperture to inbetween 28C to achieve a 21/22 C temp or 32/34C for a little higher,,,,,the remote temp sensor ,registered or not,is pants...mines been on 19c for ever and the heat always is 22C...plus the temp gauge on the NIBE is out by 0.8 C......
NOTE the NIBE 360p only has a CoP of 2.6 and that has been calculated and certified by the BRE.....BUT!!!!the CoP was only calculated on the compressor power and does not include the electricity that fan uses.....indeed we have worked out that the NIBE 360p has an actuall CoP of 2.1.
The BRE refused to comment and stated "client confidential".......
With a CoP of 2.6 even your still better off with a gas boiler if you can and if you think its going to win awards for CO2 saving...well electricty produces 2.94 times that of gas....we do not live in a country that has green electricty currently......
By the way the Nibe f205 has a CoP of 3.3....but is for smaller properties....

The flow temperature is the reading of the central heating water temperature not air temp......you can change the minimum and maximum settings on menu 2.

Dont forget the NIBE 360p has only a CoP of 2.6 and that is only the compressor not the fan power.....
So the CoP is 2.1....its not economical and its a con.....if you are connected to gas
  • thanks for the info, although does not sound like good news at all.

I have had my fighter 360 set on spring/autumn setting for around 10 days now. However the immersion still comes on, even though this is suppose to be deactivated in this setting. The system keeps switching itself to winter mode aswell even though the 'auto' option in menu 8 is switched to 'no'.
We cant seem to get the house above 20 degrees no matter how much we mess about with the settings.

NIBE informed us to make sure that all of the wall vents and window vents are fully open, all this has done is make the house even colder.

And worst of all we have been using 40kwh a day for 10 days, which is something like £6-7 a day.

We have someone from NIBE coming out tomorrow to look at it, I'm praying that he will instantly see that something is not right but im not holding my breath. i think its just a case that these systems are not up to the job and use a shocking amount of electric to run. We shall see.
  • Of course it will make it colder the system recovers heat from the exhaust... Stupid design and a waste of energy as you not want to exhaust heat from a house in winter!

  • Anyone with any sense at all knows its false economy to have your windows open in winter with the heating on! Especially whn you have I keep them open for the heating to work.
