She Magazine Sub £12 for 12 .. FREE £30 Lindt Chocs .. PLEASE READ FIRST POST UPDATE

they shouldn't have kept offering the lindt chocs if they knew they were out of stock surely? I ordered not long ago after seeing this post and it accepted it all fine didn't say out of stock as soem other ones do when they have reached their limit.

Does anyone remember the kenneth cole perfume debacle in the summer?

I for one will not be happy if I do not get the chocs as I signed up for this offer because of the chocs as my mum and daughter love lindt and I was going to share the chocolates between them for xmas. I had actually bought the She magazine showing the offer and a picture of the chocolates and took up the subscription on 8/11/06. Should they have not been offering the chocolates then I would not have subscribed as I do not buy She on a regular basis. Surely there is a case here, because if we don't get the freebie then we have been mislead?

I no longer have the She magazine with the offer in but I do have a direct debit form that I had to send off scanned onto my computer which clearly states on it 'Annual Direct Debit (12 issues) + FREE Lindt Chocolate @ £12.00'.

Also, if they are out of stock (if they had any in the first place) then shouldn't they give you an alternative to the same value? If not then I want my £12 refunded and they can shove their subscription.

i ordered mine 10 Nov by phone and was given the option to pay by credit card - i wasn't informed this would invalidate or override the promotional code i had quoted (SA77). Now I'm told the offer wasn't registered!! After complaining today an apology was forthcoming and I was told if they had any chocs left they would have sent me some, but they haven't. They offered 2 other gifts neither of which I'm interested in. BUT the plot thickens - my MIL placed an order 14 Nov and has been told today she will receive her chocs by 27 Dec - (funny 28 days - don't know what calendar they use). I'm still objecting - I just want what I paid for - CHRISTMAS CHOCCIES - and BEFORE christmas NOT after. Mrs Angry

HERE HERE -just out of interest what gifts were you offered?

I have to say - big mistake!!! big mistake!!!! A magazine aimed at the female market offering CHOCOLATE and then saying that they are not going to get it - BIG MISTAKE.
I will fight this tooth an nail for my Choccs.

I phoned today and the bloke said that the chocolates would arrive,but when I asked him to actually check the system he said they are out of stock so we wouldn't be getting them!!!Offered two alternatives one being the FREE chocolate recipie book & renu eye & lip active life cream and the other being a Charles worthington set.He didn't know what the set actually contained but I opted for that because I have enough wrinkle cream to de-wrinkle an entire elephant herd!!!HTH

I have no time to read mags, I spend most of my free time on here! I only signed up for the chocs. If I can't have the chocs I want my money back! Do we have a case?

I think that there were no chocs as no-one has reported getting any - surely something like this is against the law? You cannot advertise in a magazine - sign up for this subscription and get this wonderful gift free and then not give you the gift otherwise all retailers would be doing it surely!

I think so yes - anyone have the telephone number as I will be ringing them tomorrow.
