  • Hello everybody long time no post! I am now at (approx) 7 months 2 weeks smoke free! Both me and my husband gave up on 9th May and I finally think we have cracked it. We have both had pretty wild nights out and not caved in and have pretty much stopped thinking about smoking now (apart from throwing pitying looks at people who are still slaves to the nicotine).

If anyone is thinking of (once again) giving up smoking this Christmas please just do it! Its such a daunting experience giving up but once its done it honestly changes your life!

Good luck to all and have a lovely Christmas and a very happy new year! xxx

Donna, I was just about to go off and out, but saw your post.
Congratulations to both you & your hubby on quitting!!!!!

BRILLIANT news, you've made my day!!!:T:T:T
Once you've got to that terrific 1st year mark is what we term as really having cracked it as you've been through a whole year of normal events.
All the very best to you both, very wise words you've put on for others too!

Don't worry Erme, I quite understand what you mean so we'll just forget about that and bury the hatchet.

I can't believe about 10 days or so and I shall be (maybe 14? LOL) 4 months - it's gone so fast...Currently I'm 15 weeks and quite happy on my peace pipe (e-cig) :money:

On holiday and don't think I had my normal half tonne (100ml) of liquid with me so keeping a close eye on it...

Despite the stress of DBS (dearly beloved sibling) arriving last night am okay. Ma said 'if you run out of liquid will you be buying baccy' and I'm like noooooo....I'll buy a tonne of mints - it'll only be a day or two :money: Funny how she said that.....

Obviously family haven't quite caught up LOL

    E
PS. Sue still no spray. Have no monies for it anyways....And I'm far from home so like can't get it Rx...barely missing it now :D

    Interesting discovery today.....

Or not so interesting depending you're take on things..

Carto (thing with a hole punched in it) was chocca full of who knows what (presumably glycerine and what not)....so changed it....

So like the next carto I have has HUGE hole in it....(and I mean like way too big cos that's what this eejit punched on monday and so that's what she has with her. No spare ones )...

Did my normal stuff of filling tank after put new carto in then filling the carto seperately (keep with me guys)....

    way hay....mouth full of e-liquid.......

3 trips to the bathroom later and I'm thinking 'hmm...that wasn't a serious nic OD but now I'm off the stomach pills I now know what nic OD does to me.....'

So yeah...apart from that fab crimbo guys (I'm not really an xmas person being free presbyterian but still)...

Threw up again first thing this am...so figure it's less nic OD and more gastrltis...

Need to get appt or phone call with GP first thing friday....or maybe Wednesday

    E
PS. Those holes are 4mm when they should be 2-3 and they're all like it so will just have to fill my tank less and make sure it's well drained...
