I couldn't have put it better myself, JD!
Hi, it's so good to see you back, I wondered if the reason you hadn't been on was down to the weather. What shocking weather is was too, but thankfully you're ok.
Take care and keep the great work up, everyone else as well.

Argh
The chap who I got my printer off said that if I found out what the left hand cartridge was for he'd give me a refund - just found out and he didn't
So much for local business....cost a small fortune (like rip off) as it was.....All I did was refill them ...just refused point blank to pay his extortionate prices for refilling when I can do it at home for a fraction of the price
Och I'm so mad......I could have really done with that £100 or £50...
And worst still he pretended not to know me....Like EVERYONE remembers my voice....
Mad

PS. Sue my sinuses aren't that bad. I can taste - just not the e-cig flavours. I have a friend who is a smoker and has bad sinuses (constantly sniffing) and can't taste a thing!!!. I can taste most things - just not e-cig- but then most folk on the e-cig have this prob and change their flavours every 2-3 days. Where as I change mine about once a month

Hey- I've recently started filling my own cartridges at home and it has saved me an absolute fortune. The Black cartridge for my printer is £12.99 a go so I bought bottles of ink and a filling kit from Ebay for about £11.00. I've filled the cartridges about 6 or 7 times and only used 1 bottle of black and still have 1 left yet- a massive saving!
Anyway, back on topic. I had a real pang for a cigarette today while out Christmas shopping. I heard a chap say to his girlfriend 'let's go, I really want a cigarette' and that got me thinking about smoking and I had a little craving. Now there is no way I was going to act on it and it was only a fleeting moment really but it got me to thinking how the actions/words of others can affect us. For me, if I had seen him smoking I would not have reacted that way as the Allen Carr book promotes pity for smokers. It's strange that the 'idea' of him smoking promoted a feeling of being deprived of something and the 'empty' feeling being raised again. Anyway I got through the minor pang and consider that to be another positive step.
Take care and keep up the good work everyone
FDMI do not smoke. I last smoked on 03 November 2011. I will not give in to that awful addiction again.0 -
Yeah that's what I did... I don't think he liked it. I got a complete 150ml kit with everything needed for£7 from amazon :j...messy but worth it
Anyhow didn't have spray in the middle of the night and noticed the e-cig tasted different so wondering if I can get my naps and eating sorted if I can just use this bottle of spray then completely go spray free...would make a huge difference to my budget (no more £45 every 3 weeks)...I know it's just the nicotine rush I'm addicted to from the spray.....I just have to get over it....
That's one for you sue.... Would be so chuffed to get off the spray and use a combo of plastic inhalator and like e-cig
....it's something I'm aiming for even though I know I can't do it when stressed
or down

Very true Erme..and you will if you bring the willpower in

Very wise thinking, Erme, the least you can do with the better and I'm positive you'll soon find a change in your sinuses. Whatever you use though there has to become a knock off time, especially if you're to help your finances a heck of a lot.!! Then is when you quite simply rely on willpower - we all have it and we don't always want to be relying on something because we think we can't cope without it.!
*What do you mean about getting your naps and eating sorted??
You can do it, Erme!
How very right your are, FDM, the actions/words of others can affect us. However, in future can you train your mind to think
"poor chap, I'm pleased I don't have that desperate need to cut and run for a nicotine jab anymore"
So, in effect, you're turning the hearing into a kind of visual thing but using it slightly differently - but the outcome can still be good - well, for you, but NOT for him!
I always think - "I dearly hope he/she will soon get the same kick I got."
Keep up the wonderful fight folk and don't allow anything to get between you and your desire to turn your back on fags and nicotine.

Cos like I didn't menu plan and food shop this week cos I had my test
So now it's like 2 days before pay day and food in the freezer yeah...but now the shaft for the food processor has gone missing so like it's cereal x 3 and like a main meal at night...
Only today I found soggy cereal half eaten at 4.30 so ate that for tea
So it's not good for the mind basically to not know what you're eating next...very chaotic - don't like it
Will be remedied on Tuesday
Also I found I'm better with an early evening nap/ late afternoon nap (whatever I can get) as I get terribly tired otherwise then wonder why I'm feeling pants...Like Hello ..I'm just tired
E
PS. Sue I had a bug...it was going round. Possibly very little to do with the spray...
PPS. As for 'knock off time' - the e-cig is not a quitting smoking aid. It's an alternative to smoking....Does that make sense? I suspect it'll take me years to get off the e-cig and I'm okay with that:dance:

I see, I thought you intended giving up asap. Oh well, at least I now know, though I'd thought you were trying to cut your expenses.

Nope it was like two days sue...Maybe I can't taste the e-cig but I can taste everything else.
The e-cig is so much cheaper than smoking. Really I can afford it
I just can't really continue to justify the nasal spray at about £50 a month (can't believe I used to spend that on cigs per week near enough ) though having said that now I realise what I'm craving and have insight it should be easier....
I worked out it was £15 a month a while back...will have to check and make a spreadsheet...
