You deserve to do a "well done me" dance too, caracara!!!! Whether tis downhill that you ride or not...it's still savings AND as you rightly say it's not time wasted with waiting or being bored. That's a lot of what fags are related to I'm sure. Save the money you'd have spent and stick it in a pot!!! Come on over to the Sealed Pot Challenge" if you'd like, there's plenty of encouragement there - AND - it's addictive! I run it and would welcome you aboard!
Right, keep on pedaling rather than biking and.....do let us know when you're cycling back u the hill!!!!
What you said about me - never - I just love helping folk especially freeing themselves of evil fags , I know what it's like remember.
Onward caracara, youre going brilliantly and a month and 3 days is splendid!!!! :T:T:T

Have eye trouble though so waiting on the NHS to phone me back but with it being a Saturday night it could be a long wait...been to the optician everything
And I wanted to phone them sooner but had to take into account panic queen who needed a phone call.....so I have a long wait (and if I didn't phone her you can guarantee she'd phone the same time they did )
The fact that panic queen is really beginning to stress me out - there's been at least 2 early am rude awakenings all cos I didn't text at just after 6am...and one phone call when watching a film cos I forgot to phone cos I was trying to fix the pc.. That's just in the past few weeks...and she hates me going to A+E (she'll text and phone her socks off after 90 minutes saying why am I not out of there).....so her knowing that I'm sick makes A+E out - plus the fact I think it's some sort of infection...
But PQ I'm 34 not 3.4 I know who to phone about these sorts of things and if I do end up in hospital it's no reflection on you (I'll never forget the year I was depressed at her house and I phoned the out of hours doc cos I couldn't take anymore - she bursts out crying - so I had to get a 7 hours train journey home when I really wasn't well enough to travel - nice- not
)....
I've been in pain all afternoon - that is the reality...couldn't phone sooner due to PQ.....Been to the optician the works....
Boy why do you bother?
Sorry to rant

Still peeved with PQ for last night...
Now I'm thinking about her more than me and thinking I have to take her needs into account before I do near enough anything it's getting a tad stressful...
Finally feel alive after reducing anti anxiety meds but now I have sinusitis from the cigs (presumably from the gunk leaving and going straight into my sinuses)
Bit worried about how I'll cope with the change in AD's after all this trauma with PQ. If she'd checked her mobile or just answered it it would have been fine. The fact she's a close relative makes me feel guilty that I'm angry and M doesn't help by saying she just cares..yeah but I have no freedom. Not even to have a lie in....I guess it could be worse. She's been known to send the police round at 8am just cos I was having a lie in. I know she won't do that but I can't deal with the harassment...I just like HAVE to text at 6am every am (tad early but still) and like phone between 5 & 6pm...otherwise I get harassed and like phoned no end and stuff....
This has the potential to put me back in the psych ward and it's all very well the therapist saying 'if she panics you'll deal with it' - the fact is I don't want to deal with the harassment and she's done it too often to make me think she won't... It's stressful hearing her cry and what not on the answer phone.
Oh to be as cold hearted as my sister....she's not bothered..if she's busy she's busy and no amount of anything will make her pick up the phone...

Oh dear Erme, you sound a bit fretful to say the least. So sorry to hear about the eye problem and the sinusitis, know doubt in my mind though that both are quite possibly connected. Who is PQ?? If anything or anyone has the potential to put you back in the psych ward or bring you down, then...kick her out of your life as you do NOT need stress that's inflicted by others...no matter who they are, they're just not worth it, believe me! PLEASE Erme, do take note as you've sounded so good recently, you have to and need to take only YOU to be the important one in your life.....and stay well.
Sue xx
Very Many Congratulations on having stopped for 8 months, Sally!!!!!! :T:T:T:TYou've done little Elsie and you so proud and I truly am absolutely thrilled at your great success!! I'd thought of you a few times this week because of Triangle wanting to quit to start a family, well if you can do it than I'm sure she can...and YOU will help so much to inspire her on. Thanks soooo much for coming back, Sal, don't forget us and please give your darling Elsie a loving cuddle from me, she's so adorable.
All best wishes, Sal, you've been amazing!!!

A very warm welcome, stintbint.:D You're most welcome to join us. I've sent you a PM of hints and advice on how to cope much easier when stopping smoking. I love it when folk say such things as "I will not be beaten this time!" Stick to that wish and determination stintbint as both can get you through this. You've done fantastically already today, so be so very proud of every step you take as it's the little times that soon become massive ones to so..very proud of!
Well done on thinking ahead and getting the mask, wool etc and keep yourself busy at all times and ignore stroppy teen and DH as YOU are the one you should concentrate on from here on; so, so long as they get fed and the house is clean, they'll be ok. You're welcome to use us to rant at or to boast to as time goes on - but do try hard not to kill folk as they don't seem to like it! There's not always someone here, but you go ahead and write down your feelings anyway, that alone really is good for you. At times when you feel like screaming hold a pillow round your face...and scream like mad into it, it'll really do the trick.
Please use the Quitter's Pledge below to help from day to day.
Quitter's Pledge
Tell yourself every morning "I'm not going to smoke at all today, but if I wish to, I may smoke tomorrow." Repeat that pledge every morning, it tricks your mind and makes things more bearable to do it in bitesizes.
All best wishes stintbint,

I have smoked for 10 yrs and been on and off constantly but always smoked lights, not even 10 a day, this time i have been off for just 2 weeks but I'm getting palpitations, a weird flutter type thing - anyone else get this ?The only real security that a man can have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience and ability.0

How could I NOT welcome you back, Sal, it's a delight to see the name of someone you sooo wanted to manage it come back and let you know just how far they've got...and you having little Elsie to quit for was pure magic and it was a rea joy to see you here. Don't worry about the odd times you get 'moments' Sal, the further away you get the easier it becomes and the less amount of time it hits for. I NEVER feel remotely like that and haven't for years.
You'll soon be saying that - I promise!
Love to you both and so very well done Sal, your achievement is momentous. :T:T:T
