Hello ladies - i'm back to bore you all to tears again !!! lol
Half term is over - yay - i love my girlies more than life itself but it's nice to get back to some kind of routine, and not having to spend as much and have a little more time !!!!
I'll have to do a quick update as i'm at work but on the whole not too bad a week - spent a fair amount on going out and about with the girls but paid by OH so not a hit on my finances.
My barclaycard is finally clear :T as is my egg card (unexpected bonus - yay yay yay:j) so now just the one card to go - yippee!!
Decided to buy a few new bits for the house (in light of no longer moving in the near future) and bought a beautiful ruby rug from Argos reduced from £69.99 to £17.99 had to travel to the other side of town to get it as it was out of stock in all of the local branches with just one left, plus cushions 2 for £8 due to one having a slight flaw - bought some ruby coloured candles for my huge mahogony candlesticks on my fire place, new lampshade is matching colour and it all looks lovely- so instead of just being black and cream my lounge is now black cream and red. OH painted the kitchen yesterday and is finishing the floor today as he's home.
Started slimming world last monday as felt i needed to get back on track with the old weight loss malarky - weigh in night tonight but at the mo i don't feel any different than last week, hopefully i may have lost a pound or two.
Glad to hear all is going ok with ya all.
Sidneysmum, any chance of getting your 'stuffing' recipe??

trixiepix well done with paying those cards off.... I hated having a credit card - it makes things just too easy to purchase and I can be a bit of an impulse buyer
. I put mine in the safe at home so it wasnt in the purse
Got rid of it though I dont think I'd be tempted to have another one..... Someone recommended I kept using it just to get pepping up my credit rating, but I now have finance again on the bike  I dont see the point.....
Good luck with SW.... I love the idea of it, I just cant deal with the portion sizes
Well have been mostly sleeping lately. Managed to stay under my Feb GC at £113.37 for the monthalso overdid the NSD's at 15
. Will do my final roundup tomorrow as I'm off and am going to try to ride Dan for the first time in 5 weeks. There is a nice scab forming now and he's been living out since Thursday, although its really cold today I think they'll be in tonight so they can have a good feed.
Vera the Frontera wouldnt start this morning, so I think I'll have to invest in a new battery for herMy new bike helmet arrived today
Its lovely, but not as good quality as my other ones....
My laptop also has a nasty viruswhich means I missed the free listing weekend
I have the destructions to remove it now so will attempt to do that later today.... Ho hum
Hope you're all well and catch up after my clop around the block tomorrowMFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15

So glad to hear Dan is doing ok hun, shame about Vera - cars eh!!!!! - mine is gradually falling apart (even though i love bluey dearly - you'd never guess what colour he is - lol:rotfl:) - we have the money put aside to buy a new version of bluey but i just can't get fired up enough at the mo to go car shopping (mainly i can't be doing with pushy showroom car salesmen at the mo).
SW portions are generous in comparison to WW (tried WW and found it to restrictive for moi) - but depending on what i weigh tonight the unrestricted portion sizes might just be my downfall :rotfl:!!
Have a fab day

welshmummy - Electricity prices . To save money I have a couple of clothes airers in the spare bedroom. As soon as I take stuff out of the washer it goes straight on the airers. Without any heating in the room, its nearly always dry within a couple of days. Obviously on fine days, I use the line. The tumble dryer is only used in emergencies.
jezebel1 - Sorry to hear about your hand but very pleased to hear about your "wages" for the decorating. Good luck with all the eating up.
Little*miss - Hi. We use a Cineworld Unlimited card. If you look at the cineworld web site, all will become clear. We pay £15 per month each (just gone up) and basically we can see as many films per month as we want. A bargain for us as we love going to the cinema. I have got things off to a fine art - I turn up just as the film is starting and I take my own goodies with me instead of buying popcorn etc at ridiculous prices.
trixiepix - Well done on clearing your two cards. How great is that.:T.I love slimming world and would urge everyone to follow the plan even if you dont need to loose weight. Its just such a healthy way of eating. I had a lovely suprise this morning as I decided to weigh myself. I have been a bit naughty recently. Anyway I weigh 10st 10lb which is great for my height. I have got a party coming up in about a month so I am going to try to be good just to shift a couple of pounds. I will post the stuffing recipe below. :T
Dansmum - Great news about Dan. Bad news about Vera. I am really trying to look after my jalopy as I dont want to have to buy a new car. Also great news about your Feb GC. I have just added our food bill up and its £127.80 for Feb and petrol / lpg for the jalopy for me coming in at £101.64
Homemade stuffing.
Chop 8oz onions and cook in hot water till tender. Add this to 4oz breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon of sage. I add about an eighth of a pint of stock from the turkey / chicken. Also a couple of teaspoons of bisto powder. Mix it all together and cook for about 15 mins in the oven.
Anyway I hope you all have had a great money saving day.

Hello everyone.
Well done on the credit cards Trixie.
Dansmum I am constantly sleeping too at the moment - every afternoon I have to take to my bed for a few hours!
I have come in at sixty pounds under budget for February and have also made some money.
This month I am going to try not to use my credit card at all because it is always a shock when I get the bill and a struggle to pay it off in full which I always do.Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

rubytuesday - Good luck with NOT using the credit card.:)
patentgirl - Allotment. I didnt know you had an allotment. I would love one. Tell us all about it please
Today has been my first work day of the week. However I have done things very differently today. I usually work 10-7 but I decided to work 6.30 -3.30 and it was Fab. No sitting in traffic. I have saved myself loads of time and petrol. Also when I got home from work, I have had loads of time to do things which is brilliant. Sidneysdad is getting on with painting the spare bedroom whilst I have been getting on with other chores. Hopefully I will continue with these hours.
Foodwise I had porridge for breakfast, cous cous for lunch and tea was leftover chicken legs, mash, carrots and gravy. The chest freezer is now looking far more streamlined. I have not had to throw anything out. I still have a list of the remaining contents and I would say I have about 3 weeks worth of main meals in it. Hopefully when I go shopping again later this week, I will just have to buy a few basics.:T I really want to get to the bottom of this freezer befor I start again.
Anyway enough of my rambling. I hope you are all having a great money saving day.

Hello All,
Had a good day today. Went into work early again this morning (6.30) which I know is a killer but it meant that I could finnish at 3.30 and go out for my tea with an old friend and spend till 8.30 looking at the shops. The only downside was that I spent some money. It was my turn to pay for food/drink (as we take it in turns). I bought 2 coffees and 2 baked pots with fillings and spent £13.35. Not too bad. I also went to the Next home shop and bought a pack of 2 red patterned duvet covers with pillowcases for £28.
At the moment we are doing some updating at home. We are paintind DS3`s bedroom now that he has left and it will be a pink room. After 4 sons and 1 grandson I think I deserve a pink bedroom:rotfl:. DS1`s bedroom is also being spruced up. It doesnt need replastering as DS3`s bedroom but it needs a quick coat of emulsion and some new bedding. As there are 2 built in beds in the room I thought this duvet pack was a bargain. All I need now are red fitted sheets and some new curtains. it will look great. Although my 4 sons have all left home, I want to keep their old bedrooms in good condition as I have a plan. In the future I might offer myself as a foster parent and I want to have my spare rooms ready in case I am accepted. Also I have no intention of changing DS3`s bedroom back to black from pink. No way!!
I have been having a quick look at my finances whilst I have been at work (very naughty!!) and I think I might be able to pay this mortgage off by the end of April. OMG I cannot believe it :T. I really didnt think when I started paying it off at the start of January that I would be paying it off so soon. It just goes to show what you can do when you are determined. Must bear that in mind when I want to lose a few pounds in weight!! I have even started thinking about what I shall do after the mortgage is paid off. Watch this space
Enough of my babbling for now.

Hi all hope you're well.... xxx
Well the best laid plans and all that! Managed to shift laptops virus :j Only to come down with something myself. Its been around for a few days which would explain the sleeping... Its in my throat, sinuses and generally feeling pretty weak and feeble. Was off Tuesday and Wednesday although in today. Subsequently those two were NSD's off to good start:D So I didnt ride Danny and although its cold they're both staying out as I dont think I could manage to muck out etc at the mo.
Vera has just had a new battery fitted. She wouldnt start again yesterday afternoon so I had to walk to the yardJust about fininshed me off despite the lovely sunshine... Hopefully be better by Sunday so I can have another go at a clop.... Better had both horses are going feral!!
Spend £7.16 at Sainsbergs today on milk, brocc/cauli, butter, and 3 litres of oil for Gifford... Spent £15.15 on chaff molasses and apples for the boys too.... (although not technically my money...:p)
Its so cold I think I'll have to stop at the farm shop and get some coal :eek:MFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15
