Just back from taking the dog out for walkies. Had a mini blizzard whilst we were out too!
Just realised i need to try and make my own cheese sauce for lasagne later. Last time i tried was a disaster - any tips anyone?
Sorted the kitchen, put away all the clean washing and put another load on.
Need to try and fix OH's laptop today too. But he thinks it's beyond repair. If we get it fixed we can sell it
This works a treat!
Obviously leave out the cayenne pepper or whatever you don't fancy...........bit of nutmeg would be nice in the lasagne 'tho.Nicotine Free since 01.08.2010 :j:j:j

I've just made my beef part to the lasagna, and the pasta (although added an extra egg to recipe as tried to make it in the food processor and then knead it and it didn't come together at all!
Sauce and pasta both need an hour so will wait till OH gets home nd then embark on the cheese sauce.
there is so much sauce i think we will easy get some leftover sauce which i can keep - do you think i could make ravioli from it and freeze till we need it?Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Afternoon All
Hope everyone is well. I have decided to go back to work tomorrow, I know I will have to take it easy but I so need to get back to some normality.
WM on, went to Mr S this morning so meal plans and packed lunches sorted for week. I will need to rest when at home for a week or two so making it as easy as I can for myself.
It has forecast snow showers for us this week which is not good. It is difficult to get the car to the main road with the slightest covering of snow and I wont be able to walk (as I usually do) because of my back/op so hoping the forecast is wrong.
Take care everyone. Hope work goes ok for those back in tomorrow. Back to normal.

Like many others, last day off before back to the grindstone of work - at the moment I'm secretly sort of looking forward to some routine and normality (whatever that is), however I know that by this time tomorrow I'll be thinking that was a mad thought
Have managed to wash and dried and ironed. Walked doglet and put away all the Christmas decs - that is apart from the stray one that also gets missed but as yet is unseen :rotfl:
Just trying to get my head back into work mode by tackling some of my OU course work - only 3 weeks behind on a 24 week course - yikes - but I'll get there
Not really much OSness - apart from a NSD and HM soup and dumplings for dinner :j
Have a good afternoon/evening to all those work returners!

We have never used start drops, but i know many on here do. I might buy the mrs some. seem a lot cheeper than flash and other stuff.
Now whens her birthday:rotfl:
Nice to see a bloke who likes to spoil his woman:rotfl:
Well what a disaster - I should have stayed in bed.
Went up Mr T as I remembered I had coupons so thought it would help with the cost of the shopping. Got to pay and realised I didn't have my purse with me  H couldn't get up to me with my purse (it was at home) so my dad came up to pay. Only he didn't get my purse on the way so all the vouchers are still unused. Only went up there because of the vouchers as I prefer Mr S
Then went up PC World as an advert last night was showing Norton Anti-Virus for £23, bargain as it's normally £50-60. Get there today and it's back up to full price  What the point of showing an ad at 8.30pm if you can't get up to the shop !!!!!!.
Kids are tired and REALLY whingy, roll on bedtime :rotfl:
One good thing though I washed the car although my back's not thanking me for it

Re--The laptop.
Even if it can not be fixed you can still sell it on ebay. there is a good market for spare or repair laptops..Have a look.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Just wanted to say a quicke hello. I've been on the MSE site for a long time, but never found this thread before....:o
Had a great day of cleaning, tidying and sorting. WM has run a few times (and the dryer) and fridge and freezer have been emptied of all rubbish and out of date stuff.
Made proper inventory and will create proper meal planns as soon as I figure out how....
Just a quick recipe for cheese sauce...
equal parts of butter (melting in a pan) and plain flour. Combine and cook in a saucepan for a minute or 2. Add milk in a little bit at a time till you get nice sauce consistency. Then add as much cheese as you want. (i love adding loads). Add a little nutmeg and pepper and salt. HTH
Hope to get to know you all....:)
