Penny-Pincher - please look after yourself!
JackieO - my prayers for Jasmine's family - what a sad time for them all.
Woke up late today, but nothing to really get up for anyway! Still have this wretched chest infection so probably back to doctor's tomorrow for more antibiotics, plus probably need to start the steroids, which I'd been hoping to avoid.
Finally cast on my knitting last evening and am halfway through the rib. Hopefully I'll get some done each day and the jumper will be ready to wear just when the warmer weather arrives!!!!
DH working for his old boss two days this week - quite like old times.
DS did lose his job having had the time in hospital before and after Christmas. He's very low again - so fragile, with huge mood swings. Hope he can find something else soon as for a couple of weeks he was feeling so positive at last.
Not too much OS today - just loads of washing to do.
Have a good day everyone - and take care.Resolution:

Morning all
Can't believe we're into the New Year already, the holidays have gone by so quickly. Had a good time away, but DH not well, has had cold/sore throat lurgy and now left with a horrdendous cough, but has said this am he feels a bit better. I'm not too bad, just bunged up, no energy, no appetite and could quite happily sit in front of telly under a blanket all day, but have stuff to do - so will be plodding along, WM will be going on shortly.
Defrosted beef for yesterday, then never cooked it, so we'll be having that later, haven't really cooked anything since we've been home on Saturday just not felt up to it. DH back to work tomorrow, I'm off as boys have training day, then back to school and work on Wednesday. Will be trying to get decs down today/tomorrow, have a couple of jobs to do in town tomorrow am so will be heading to the scales whilst I'm there, I know I've put some weight on but am not sure how much, so will be getting weighed, drawing a line under it and getting back to eating better, have actually now realised how much what I eat affects how I'm feeling, have eaten richer food than I've been used to and it really doesn't agree with me, makes me feel really sluggish and horrid, so now can't wait to get back to my lighter food.
Will be cracking on need to get the house decluttered, so kitchen is going to be first on the list, but will be doing all the washing from being away, still keep putting one load in after another, think it's reproducing all on it's own as the pile is not getting any smaller! We'll be having another quiet day not really doing too much as still not feeling that well, and we're back to work shortly so getting some r&r whilst we can.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Another late start for me this morning - had a book to finish and didn't drag myself out of my pit until 10 - then promptly depressed myself by thinking 'this time tomorrow I'll have been at work for an hour.....'
Did the half price beef I bought from sainsbugs before xmas in the slow cooker overnight on saturday and we had it not dinner yesterday. Made gravy usuing the liquid from the slow cooker (along with an onion and some celery that I had used to sit the beef on) and a couple of tablespoons of bisto best all blended together to make THE most fantastic gravy. The beef was unsliceable as it just fell apart - just how DH loves it. He ate his dinner and then went back to fill his plate again and cleared it - unheard of for him as he is quite a small eater.
today will be left over beef and hot gravy butties for lunch and chicken fajitas for dinner. need to go yo Asd@ for packed lunch dtuff

Morning all,
Not long been up,going to be a shock to the system tomorrow :rotfl:, have got the first of two washes on the go, will get them on the line, its drying really well outside atm.
Going to do a beef bourguignon for dinner tonight with mash and loads of veg, we had opened a really nice bottle of red wine on xmas day, and there was 1/2 left, so I will shove that in, my diet starts again tomorrow.
Need to have a quick tidy through, get the washing out, then get the dog out for her walk, might take mums dog too.
Ok better get on, have fun all xx0 -
