Morning all:j:j
Everyone up here and esting there breakfast.
The twins are off to my moms house as per every monday.
Not too sure what my wife and i are doinf yet. We do need to get some cat food but we can always get that from the local shop.
VAT--- Its tomorrow that it goes up by 2.5% its only a small rise so try not to worry about that too much. I think the thing to whach out for is the shops useing it too put there prices up a few pence with out you knowing. Most people will not try to work out what the thing they are buying costs before the VAT risre and after the VAT rise. That way noone will know the shop a has put there own 2p ontop as well. look out for this, it will be going on.
The petrol costs in this country are mad:eek: most of the cost is Tax. about 70% i think:eek: When i was a kid there were loads of indpendant forcourts around here there are now non, and a lot of the big oil companys have also closed there forcourts too. Most of the forcourts make about 2p ltr on there fule. They make more on the news papers, mags, fag, and food that they sell. Most supermarkets sell there fule at a loss now. So its worth cheaking them out to save a few pennies.
The Gas and Elec is also going up but over the last 15 years it has been kept low compeard to what it should have been. We are now paying the cost of this over the last few years the price has shot up time and time again. Insted of bring it all inline over time thay have pushed the price up all at once, and started to make back the lost profits of years gone by. I can not see any end in sight for this untill the Gov steps in and puts a limit on how much they can put the price up over a 12 month period. They do in franch and i think germany the limit i belive in france is 2% a year. Loads less than us.
I hope that some of you has found the above of intressed if not feel free to slap me, you never know i might enjoy it:D:D
Dinner tonight will be somthing done with the left over beef.
Have a great day all:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Morning all,
Feeling sluggish as DH snoring kept me awake ,and will have to take the beast out soon(dog not DH),but he's not nagging me yet!
We had an un OS curry last night at a new place in town, but it was the first time we've been out all over Christmas,so DH said he'd treat me,and it was reasonable.
All our bins should be emptied today, but not heard them yet.I do hope they do as they didnt get done twice before Christmas, and all are full to bursting.
I'm thinking pasta for tea,and also soupmaking with some stilton.
JackieO- so sorry to hear your sad news, poor girl.Hugs to all.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all
I can't believe this is my last day off. I haven't done half the stuff I wanted too! Ah well, I've chilled out and doen some stuff. I am looking forward to going back to work though, it'll be a quiet week as some colleagues will still be off. I won't have a new bunch of work kids for a month but need to start planning their 12 week programme soon!
Another gloomy day weather wise here. I'm debating whether to go to gym or stay in and do a workout DVD. I weighed this morning and I have lost 2.5lbs since Weds, I love Slimming World!
Plans for today include looking for flights to Oz and NZ for oct/nov, sorting out the laptop as it's a bit full of crap at mo! I also need to sort out my uni work (though I might do that in work tomorrow)
Not much OS here today as I did a lot yesterday. Lunch will be HM soup and dinner will be HM veggie chilli, both made yesterday. I must put laundry away, but have said that for last few days :rotfl:
Have a fab day all

Morning All,
Up at eight this morning, so a wee bit nearer normal. The boys don't go back to school until Weds as tomorrow is a Bank Holiday up here too - I feel as if the Christmas holidays have been a month long, with all the snow shut downs - I hope there is no more snow this winter! Plan for the day is to have a clear out in the playroom - DH's idea. The boys want seperate rooms nowand I offered them this as their pressie from me and dad for Christmas (for DS2's benefit so he didn't expect a gift from me and dad on top of Santa's offerings) which they jumped at, so we need to have a thorough clearout and measure up and start looking for suitable beds. They have bunks at the moment which will stay where they are for now, but that will be DS1's room and he's getting a big lad, and will need something suitable for an adult shortly. The other room will need some sort of cabin bed with desk as there's no floor space for seperate furniture items. Hmm probably too much info there sorry
I have washing and ironing to catch up too, which I'll do today, and then I am off out to the cinema on my own to see The Tourist. No babysitters available for us, I don't know the last time we had an adult only night out, and I really want to see it so I'm off on my own. No snacks as I an dieting now, so it won't be too dear. Dinner tonight is Haggis for me, and Turkey roast thing for the men in my life.
Hugs to all, Bitsy have some sleep later if you can, you too Lou.
Have a good day.

Hi Guys!
Hope you're all well.
Nurse has been and gone. I was very ill Saturday and they wanted me to go into hospital, but flat out refused! I was given extra steroids and more morphine, so out of it a lot anyway. So wasnt able to get to nephews for dinner:o Feeling a little better but have a manic week this week with appointments and have to sort this legal stuff out with my solicitor.
House is clean and tidy. Remoska is on with a chicken in it as we didnt cook it yesterday.
Think we may go out for a drive today but will wrap up as its the last day with DD before she goes back tomorrow.
Hugs to all.
