Pictures are on facebook - here's the photobucket link for those not on facebook (TOOTS)
My Bathroom
hum *rubs chin* that took ages.
My camera is so fiddly to download from - the school camera (which has an SD card) is so much easier to use because I have an SD card reader on the PC. I have to bring the school camera home because we don't have an SD card reader there and I was never given the leads for the camera, which was found during a tidy up!
Still I shall plod on.
Beds are stripped so I shall make them; do my bedroom and the dining room. Oh I have been to my car to retrieve wellies and hiking boots - and the shovel (which i only put backin yesterday) because it has snowed again!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Can anyone offer any advice? I have a steam generator iron - i love it to bits but i have a problem...... I live in a hard water area. I do descale the removable thing regularly, but last week I was getting virtually no pressure when the iron was horizontal!
All descaler products have to be run through when the iron is off - but you can't do that witha steam generator.
Any ideas fellow flyladies?0 -
My BD has left thank goodness! I have spent this morning blitzing downstairs and i must say it has reached showhome status.........however this will last until approximately 12.10 when i collect DS from nursery!:rotfl: Never mind at least for just a few short minutes i knew it was tidy..at least its clean though. Floors mopped, everywhere polished etc. Makes me feel so much better! I've moved a lot of toys upstairs so thats this afternoons job. Blitz the kids rooms. My room only needs quickly polishing and thats it. All beds have been changed earlier on the week. Will get back to proper lists and proper routine on monday. Got towels in WM and one other load but that will be it. Few bits of ironing that DD1 can do! Best go and get the boy:eek:.......could do with him being there all day today but just half a day today! Thank you nursery grant! xIf music be the food of love then play on"No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow". ღ ~Maya AngelouDoing it for my kids. Green day speed soup for whoever was asking. It is YUMMY, but does come with a disclaimer. It does cause some serious erm, wind issues:rotfl:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

How can it be so difficult to find a wardrobe? I've measured and still cannot decide. Do I go cheap, or spend a little bit more money on something which will hopefully last? Should I try and get it to match or something bright and modern. Bed is black & dark brown wrought iron, walls magnolia, curtains cream. We have a very old 5 drawer, think its mahogany which DH restored that needs attention. And also in room we have 2 drawer / tall boy things which are flat pack light (beech) in colour with blue doors (sound lovely!) Which came from freecycle supposidly to go in DS room but ended up in my room.
Its giving me a headache!!!0 -

Thanks everyone for your posts. I was just worried at the length of time people normally take over it and I had just looked at the wedding board, most people have everything well over 6 months before. We are trying for July which may be the sticking point but are happy to marry during the week once I am on leave which makes it a bit easier. TBH we really aren't that bothered by the day, we have been together for so long that we are just happy to finally be making the commitment. We know where we want to tie the knot so I need to make a couple of calls, if we can get a day we are happy with then we just need to look into reception venues. We have gone from a guest list of 12 to one of 40 now we have decided to marry in this country.
Anyway, I promise not to hijack this thread with wedding stuff, not brave enough to venture onto the weddings board yet though! Will make my calls and then make a flying list for the next couple of days.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
