I can write a list of little incidents/behaviours that I have put up with. But in all honesty I'm not about to start remoulding a 47 year old bloke. It came as a shock to him, he said, and he asked to meet up this weekend to discuss it. Well I said no to that; he also offered to make an effort re one part of my issues (and, tbh, something I have mentioned to him before) - well I told him if he wasn't prepared to make an effort before and accept what a big thing it was to me that he didn't do this routine thing before...

But a couple of things I haven't yet mentioned

him walking into my house without knocking
him helping himself to fruit from my fruit bowl as he walked in without asking

Little 'niggles' on their own but they build up. The kids have friends I have known for years and NOT ONE of them has ever walked in univited

    Anyway friends/family now informed.
I felt a bit rotten doing it - but to have carried on would have meant me sacrificing some principles - and putting up with things which go against the grain and life's too short.
    Martyr I am NOT!
You've been living on your own (well, with your kids) for a while now, and have a life you're happy with. There's no reason to compromise that for someone else. However much you like them, you have to be able to fit into each other's lives. OH gets one more chance with me, but I have to say, much as I love him, I'm finding I'm keeping things at arms' length at the moment and considering very carefully what matters to me and what may turn out to be issues.

Had a lovely evening with friends. Didn't do too badly on the diet, but did shockingly on exercise! Am behind on work, but it'll have to wait as a. I have to take the decorations down (there aren't many, so it won't take long) and b. I have an 8.30 sports massage appointment.

Thanks you so much for all the birthday wishes. I'll catch up on the flying over the weekend!

My wedding was booked and done and dusted in 4 weeks.. my divorce took 10 months..

If I ever did it again (I'd expect you lot to talk me out of it!!!!!!) I would definitely take more time planning.. The planning is the best bit.. like the run up to christmas... followed by the anticlimax of christmas day..

Thing is, although I quite LIKED the LSB love (at least on my part) it was NOT. And I'd given it 6 months. Now if it was love on his part (and I kind of think it was) -well, he should have said;)

I'm feeling very positive, rather than putting up with something that wasn't 'good enough'. I've had enough carp in the past!

    TBH 6lb is not bad...
Have you got the recipe for Green Day Speed Soup? Incredible stuff - let me know if you want it! It's packed FULL of SPEED foods

(when you first read the recipe it sounds dreadful but it tastes g-o-o-d definitely worth a try if you're a Green Day (SW not the band) fan!)

And from my own experience divorce is a damned sight harder than getting married...

Ok decided, finish emptying cupboard so it's ready to be vacuumed out in the morning......then open the dreaded books pack and check my study calendars so I know when each course starts. That'll give me a final 'must be sorted by' date.

hi, is it you who is studying with the OU? or have i got the wrong person?

Currently trying to motivate DD to get dressed so we can take the dog out as DH is away. Probably won't get much done this morning so I'll catch up with you tonight.

Hope everyone has a good day
