Dusty - how did you repatriate the mouse?

Well it had wedged itself between the dresser and the kitchen wall so I got a long handled broom and gently pulled out the dresser at an angle so that mouse could still straddle the gap whilst pushing in the broom. Carefully I managed to get the mouse onto the brush part of the broom and then slowly retracted the broom with the mouse sitting on it. Amazingly it stayed on the broom long enough for me to put it out the front door. Cats are not impressed that it has disappeared and keep giving me the evil eye.

Quickly going to unload WM and wash up and then HHtv.

Brilliant! Well done you! That mouse gets to live another day (unless it gets too close to moggies!) was it field or house type?

Thanks soappie, I think piggers hit nail on the nutnut last night when she told me to stop worrying about DPs lack of work and worrying about doing what and when. I always always always try not to have January blues but something always hinders it! Agreed with the weather, I did feel a bit better when I was out today, well until I walked into the meeting indoors. Think I need more regular sunshine which might happen if we're due to get snow.

Ok decided, finish emptying cupboard so it's ready to be vacuumed out in the morning......then open the dreaded books pack and check my study calendars so I know when each course starts. That'll give me a final 'must be sorted by' date.
One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks all for your words of wisdom. I know time will make it better and 6 months after a 9 year relationship isn't that long! Happy birthday GREENBEE hope you've had a lovely day despite work! AJMONEYmy friend organised her wedding 2 years ago in 3 months to accomodate her now BIL visiting from New Zealand! It was a lovely wedding. Another friend also oprganised a wedding that was in Scotland (we live in the midlands!) in about 14 weeks! 6 months is definitely do-able i reckon!! At least the less time you have then you have to make the decisions and stick to them unlike another friend who had nearly 2 years to change everything 3 times (seriously!) losing about 3 grand:eek::eek::eek:

Anyway i am off for an early night then determined to catch up with flying tomorrow...this place is a pigsty!! Night all. xx:)

Not sure if anyone's posted it yet, but Free listing day on January 8 and 9 on eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie
I'm bushed. Done a lot of office stuff today, and managed to finish off a lot of pending things. Really pleased, but off to bed now.
Christmas tree gone and decs away, hoovering and general tidying up/decluttering done.
Boddy huge hugs. Glad you got the air clear and everyone is ok.xx
Nattyt You're right. 6 months isn't long to get over a relationship of 9 years. Be kinder to yourself love xx
Lamewolf Hoping you have a better sleep tonight. xx
AJmoney Because of procrastination, and other people's ideas of the type of wedding we should have, we managed to sort out our wedding in about 3 months flat. From making the dress (copper silk with shoes to die for! -pic on my FB page) down to my husband's kilt being made. We kept it simple, 50 guests, close friends and family. I had a prosecco party/getting dressed party for my girl-friends before the ceremony at the small family-run hotel my new hubby and I were spending the night at. My friend's husband kindly offered to play chauffeur, everyone pitched in. The photographer was a personal friend who has her own photography business, and who has photographed DH and I heaps of times during her courses, and I'd worked with her before at the radio station, so we know each other well. It was all very intimate, fun and relaxed. I can't think of one moment of it I didn't enjoy, and neither can DH. The only "bad" bits were that my darling sister and neice couldn't make it-my neice was in hospital with pneumonia, and my dad (who is a virtual recluse) didn't feel up to it, but it worked out fine, and what mattered was DH and I getting married. It was just totally us. Perfectly do-able in six months. xx
Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.

    Hi everyone

Hope its been a good day for everyone! Work was manically busy but soooo boring....so much so, I was driven onto facebook :o

I havent managed to get any of the jobs done I wanted to this evening as I ended up having a long needed chat with my sis about money....she was further up the creek than I suspected... and was definately minus a paddle!

Anyway - shes on the right track now which is all that matters and has a plan in place...

I have emptied the WM and TD, tidied the LO room and made the bed. Have found homes for some of the christmas stuff, but think a clear out of the DVD and bookcases are in order!

Off to update my list

Love, hugs, spoons and vibes all round - especially for Toots

    Happy Birthday to Greenbee xx

    well I have done it.

DS thinks I have been rather petty

I can write a list of little incidents/behaviours that I have put up with. But in all honesty I'm not about to start remoulding a 47 year old bloke. It came as a shock to him, he said, and he asked to meet up this weekend to discuss it. Well I said no to that; he also offered to make an effort re one part of my issues (and, tbh, something I have mentioned to him before) - well I told him if he wasn't prepared to make an effort before and accept what a big thing it was to me that he didn't do this routine thing before...

But a couple of things I haven't yet mentioned

him walking into my house without knocking
him helping himself to fruit from my fruit bowl as he walked in without asking

Little 'niggles' on their own but they build up. The kids have friends I have known for years and NOT ONE of them has ever walked in univited

    Anyway friends/family now informed.
I felt a bit rotten doing it - but to have carried on would have meant me sacrificing some principles - and putting up with things which go against the grain and life's too short.
    Martyr I am NOT!
