I have edited and printed off four paragraphs from my flylady smurf (basically so I don't say ewww to the LSB) and expect to talk tonight or tomorrow when I will give him the big E.
And I'm rather looking forward to having my weekends back to myself!
I hope the decluttering of that aspect of your life goes well Valli and there's no fall out xxxI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Evening all
Another late finish at work (home just after 6pm), but I've not achieved much since, other than make/declutter tea, read to DS2 and read my book. I just needed a break.
Time to sort lessons out for tomorrow, but I may need another coffee first. I should get to bed earlier, really, but have probably wasted too much time to make it.
On top of laundry and DW, but that's about it. I must make some phonecalls tomorrow, as I've completely messed up my budget (no idea how it happened) and have to find a solution.
Looking forward to the weekend already.

Well, got most of what I wanted done today, but now have two poorly boys
DS1 fell asleep on the sofa (very cute vid of him nodding off about to be uploaded to FB) and woke up 30 mins later with a temp of 39.7  Called NHS direct but surprise surprise they haven't called back and I can't face a night of sitting in the clinic. Temp has gone down with calpol and nurofen and he's sleeping now, but I can feel another night of no sleep coming on...
So long as the temp comes down it is fine.. it is only an issue really if it is over 40'C and doesn't come down as they are then at risk of febrile convulsions, which are unlikely after about 4. Not to be mistaken of course with rigours caused by rapid increase in temp. Sponging with cool not cold water is advised if the paracetamol/neurofen doesn't work. Chances are he just has his brothers germans and you'll be scraping up sick and snot for days to comeEnjoy!
NHS Direct a totally useless service which should be scrapped and save millions of £'s each yearLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
They advised me not to cool him off with water as it can make them shiver and temp goes up not down. I think he has a water infection as he said earlier it hurts when he wees so back to the docs tomorrow I expect...but then again he told me the Christmas tree was telling him fibs earlier so who knows...
Going to bung another load in the wm, scrub the loo and go to bed, night everyone xSo, there are these boys,
They kinda stole my heart,
They call me Mummy

Totally agree with you Pigpen...was speaking with my best friend today and her family have had the same flu bug as us...she has a 10 week old baby boy who also caught it but rather than a high temp he was really cold and she couldnt warm him up...trawled internet but couldnt find any info on cold babes so phoned NHS direct who told her to put the heating on:mad::mad::mad::mad: as if she hadnt already done that ....eventually warmed him up with skin to skin and a thick blanket wrapped round them both still took almost 3 hours for his temp to get back to normal.Feeding 6 Adults 1 Teen a 8 year old with hollow legs and a very fussy 5 year old. Also 3 cats and 3 fishies
