Well we decluttered some ham into sandwiches, very yum.

I'm in this week - thanks to FCC for the thread. The emphasis for me is on dot-to-dotting in the room of the day. If I keep on top of dailies and do at least 15 minutes every day (and keep that bits tidy that I've done), then things must get better eventually, even if it takes ages. Work will be crazy right from the beginning, so I am going to need to pace myself.

Can I ask for some advice please? I cooked brisket in the SC for tea and the kids loved it, but DH didn't enjoy the meat at all, which isn't like him. There's lots left and I don't want to simply heat it in gravy. I've tried making rissoles before and they didn't go down well, either. Any ideas how to use it for tea tomorrow? Thanks in advance.

I usually make fajitas if that is the right word? I get floury tortillas and make a salsa and reheat the meat with spices on.

    Extras
    1. Binbag dance

    3. Make sure diaries/calendars are up to date with appointments!!!
    4. De-Christmas house
    5. Move furniture round in lounge to fit in exercise bike

Thanks to all at FCC, I'm in again this week. Already started on the kitchen earlier. I like Froddington's and Dusty's additions to the lists. I might limit my personal list of carp to 7 items a week (or day help! I seem to be P.A. to the whole family) and have another list of positive things I'd like to achieve... I do have an addiction to lists

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining area
    Level One

    Clear and wipe the worksurfaces
    Level Two
    Wash the units and appliances.
Give the pan cupboard a good scrub out.. fling the plastic tubs with no lids/botttoms/broken
Wipe over window sills and shine the taps
    Level Three
Sort paperwork, warranties, insurance docs, phone contracts etc into a file so they are easily accessible and make notes of when things need renewing!
    Dust and deweb
    Extras

    1. Thoroughly clean a small appliance (descale kettle/decrumb toaster for example)

Looking forward to getting back on the flying wagon this week after two weeks of doing very little in the house! DD is back at pre-school tuesday so probably won't get much done until then.

Also wanted to update on the NYE Ironing Challenge - I actually managed this!! My basket was completely empty on NYE (and Xmas eve too as I sort of had a practise run!)!!!
Did also manage the xmas eve challenge and was not doing any last minute wrapping/ xmas prep which turned out to be a good thing as both our littlies were poorly over Christmas!

Thank you to all who keep the thread going. I have had a much more enjoyable, organisesd, stress free Christmas than the past few years, and enjoyed it all in a much cleaner, clutter-free (ish!) house.

Hello Everyone. I'm in but still on the unable to do anything list. Many thanks to Pigpen and Toots et al.

Unbelievably I am working full time this week from Tuesday. Firstly I have to go to Fracture Clinic to see what they are proposing to do with my still painful hand.

The mess is getting me down. The big kids just seem to be unaware of it. Each of them have the majority of the kitchen cups and glasses in their bedrooms. There is mountains of washing to do and the school bits still aren't ironed and they go back on Tuesday.

Sorry I'm really feeling out of sorts.

Just had a fab idea for Miss A's birthday. She wanted to do something with her friends which was different to anything that has already been done. Cue lots of brain wracking as her b'day is soon and I can't (won't) spend a fortune (which she knows and understands). Then tadahhhhhhhhh a climbing wall party :D

Fingers crossed that I can book it in the morning, she now has to decide which 5 friends to invite as 6 is the max for the party.

Sounds a brilliant idea AnW's particularly as the max no is 6 ;) Gingers xd that it's available... and bookable ....

Mumto5, I'm sorry you're feeling down - big hugs to you ((((( ))))). Kids seem oblivious to all the mess around them. Could you tell them how you're feeling and that may get them to think and help you out more? I hope it goes well at the Fracture Clinic on Tuesday and that your week goes OK. xx

Aw hun!!!!!!!!!!! Are you able to sit them all down and let them know how they are making you feel? and that their help in the beginning was fantastic but your hand is taking longer than thought to heal? and you could really really do with their help?

Really lay it on with a trowel if necessary - may seem pathetic but if it works.................

Off to bed now. Getting up normal work time tomorrow so system wont be as shocked Tuesday. Thats the plan!

    Sleep well,

Thanks sockdrawer, onestep and maxonian for your ideas. Personally I'd go for stovies, but my family is very awkward to feed (I like most veg, DH few and DS1 doesn't like the ones DH likes ) and a curry or something with veg and gravy in the SC are more likely. There might even be enough meat for both, if I shred it fine and stretch it well. :D

ETA Hugs, Mumto5. I bet the frustration and stressing about the house won't help with the pain, either. For what it's worth, talking to your family can't hurt and they may just listen.
