    JackieO thats terrible news.

I have done some baking!! My brother got me an ipod speaker thing which we set up today and no i can't keep out the kitchen, put some music on cleaned the whole room then baked my cheese biscuits first time recipe - pretty pleased) then some boodle biscuits - possibly not a great idea as i'm dieting!! but i've not actually eaten yet today except testers for both :)

OH has gone to look at a friends car as it's playing up. hopefully we get some cash from it.

  • Afternoon all :)

Nothing much to report here, apart from that I've just arrived home with a free wild goose and a pheasant :j One of my friends called today to say that her son had shot so many pheasants, partridges and a goose over the past few days that she didn't know what to do with them all and was sick of plucking them. Her husband had suggested that I might like the goose, so would I like to come and collect it? :D I've never moved so fast!

So now the OH and I are about to embark on skinning the goose (I'm not plucking it this time), but will leave the pheasant for another day or two.

Dinner tonight? Goose breast with something :rotfl:. The legs will be made into confit, the carcass into stock and the bits of meat off the carcass will probably become a pie.... I was meant to make venison pie, but the meat hasn't defrosted in time, so will save that for tomorrow.

That's my day really. Another shooting lesson tomorrow and then catching up with our god children on a day out at the National Stone Centre afterwards.

Have a good evening all and hugs to those who need them.

    T xx

    Afternoon all

Been for a lovely walk on Epping forest earlier for a couple of hours with dh,ds2 & pup. Saw loads of people out, it was really nice to get out in the fresh air.

Still trying to stop smoking, had a couple of blips yesterday, but have managed ok today. Have been trying to keep myself busy and sm drinking cranberry juice whenever I have a craving.

Not much os today apart from 2 loads washing done & hung on airers. Dw been & emptied. Dh went shopping this morning & got a gammon joint for half price £6, which will last us a few days. Bit annoyed though as the other week he bought a cheescake on the sat, but wanted for the sun, when I checked the date, use by date was for the same day. He bought big bag of carrots today, when I checked them some had turned but date on bag was for today.

Going to do some knitting tonight and watch last upstairs/downstairs programme.

Enjoy the rest of your evening. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.

    Lynne

Another quiet day - DFs birthday so nice lunch out at Indian buffet style place. Got turkey stock on the go for HM soup for tomorrow. Also got some sewing to do, just things to shorten (trousers, apron) bought in the sales.

Need to get my head together and plan a bit ready for w*rk on Tuesday.
