    Morning all,

Beautiful day here :j, got my bedding blowing on the line and dd's in the machine, also got the table cloths from xmas day to wash, only use them once or twice a year :o:D so they can go away again once done.

OH has gone to the boot sale, and dd is in shower, so I am just pottering around, not having a roast today, will have a chilli which OH will cook later on.

Took the tree down yesterday, and although I loved it, its so nice that its gone, so almost back to normal here, I will be glad to be back in a routine next week, its been lovely being off, we have been getting up late, having breakfast, then out for a long walk, back for an afternoon nap or a film, then staying up late to watch another film, will be a shock when the alarm goes off next week :rotfl:

Quick tidy and hoover through today, and re-make the beds, will have a good clean up on Tues when they are all back at work/school.

NPM, thanks for asking about my dad, he was ok over Xmas, tbh I think the change in routine did him good, he is tending to sleep too much during the day, and then wanders most of the night, keeping my mum awake, mum is at the end of her tether with him, and is snaping at him the whole time, she also answers for him instead of letting him talk, she needs a break from him and she is just worn out, he refuses to go to the day center, as the woman there had them sticking stickers in a book for a whole day , and he was bored out of his mind. I have made an apointment with a carer's group on Tuesday, who come and take him swimming etc, so will see how we get on with them, hopefully they will be able to help him, Sorry that was a bit of an essay :o.

Hugs to all in need, have good days all xx
  • Morning Peeps,

Its another late rise for me today, but we'll be back to normal tomorrow as the boys are back at school on Wednesday, and DSIL is going home then too, so I need to be up early to get her to the airport. Had a lovely time at MILs yesterday, DNeice is so funny, and spent a lot of her time singing her songs, she is incredibly articulate for a three year old, especially considering she's bilingual :D

Plan for the day is to go shopping for a sofa for a couple of hours, I have still to see one I like. I have however found wallpaper I like but its £30 a roll, I have looked online and that's the cheapest so far, but as it won't be getting done until next month, I have time to keep looking! This afternoon we are off to my youngest sister's as its my nephew's eleventh birthday, we just bought him game vouchers as its hard to think of things he doesn't have already ;)

Not much OS here, I have a washing on as usual, and dinner will be sausage hotpot, I am back on WW today too, as is the OH except he won't realise it, I will be glad when the last of the nuts and tortilla chips have gone from the house.

Got £2 in my sistercas fund, using an old purse until my money box is dried and decorated :D

Hugs to all the poorlies, JC how is your boy? Bramble, make sure you're taking it easy!

Hugs spoons and hi5's where required. LameWolf, if you are lurking, I have been thinking every day of you and OH and his family,

  • Morning all, have already been out taken DH, popped into morrisons for some carrots, strangely enough they cost £15. Why is it you go in needing one thing and end up with a basketful?
Chicken curry in SC today which means i might escape out!
Think i'm going to go to Homebase to see if any paints on offer- if not i'll end up at Focus with my mum and discount card. I'm gonna have a couple of weeks collecting stuff for my kitchen make over and then when they go back to uni i shall make a start. Feel like i'm running a hotel at the mo!
Anyway have a good day all x

    Morning All

A very late start for me today, had a lovely long lie-in. DD did wake me at 1am though home from work, no key. DH came home after the night shift not feeling very well, this flu/cold/virus thing has really taken it out of him, think he needs a check up at the doctors now, he has had bugs like this before and ended up with a chest infection.

A bit brighter day here today, although the bit of blue sky that peeped through the clouds has now gone. Not sure what to do today, don't want to wake up DH and really don't want to go out and spend any money.

Hope you feel better soon Bitsy - know just how you feel.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Morning (just;))
Ooooh nearly back to normal:j...whatever is normal in this house;).
Been pottering and tidyin this morning. Just had bacon and egg rolls for brunch. Roast lamb for dinner later...yum.
Am doing a sainsbugs online shop for Weds and trying to keep it as low as poss.
Got washing to do today as you lot scared me into not doing in yesterday :rotfl:
Need to get up to date on the ironing too.
Back to work tues but as I only work Mon and Tues only one day next week :T then I can spend Weds, Thurs and Fri decluttering.
DS enjoyed Primeval last night and second part is on tonight.
He was not too bad yesterday, mainly because DH was in bed with a migraine till about 4pm so he had my undivided attention and he is always better on a one to one basis....he needs 24hr one to one to function.
Redruby your poor mum:( it must be horrendous for her. Is there any way Social workers could organise a carer for your dad each week/month when the carers group is on so your mum could attend? It would be a blessing for her to be away for a couple of hours having a change of scenery and a bit of peace and escape. Plus the friendship and support of others in the same boat. I know from the autism groups it is a big help to us parents and you end up building a support network. Dont give up on the day centres either....are there any others who do different things and dont treat them like kids:mad:. It would be beneficial to both of them.
LW hope you and OH are ok and have survived Xmas and that 2011 brings happier times

    xx

Hi all. I got home on the 31st, and my pipes weren't burst or frozen, but my freezer was palying up! Soup and veg was still frozen, but ~£15 worth of meat was semi-defrosted like it wasn't quite cold enough and it could have been like that for a weeK! I put some chicken in my fridge to fully defrost, popped some meat in my neighbour's freezer and now my freezer seems to be working fully again. I don't want to waste anuything but don't want to get ill :( It's so frustrating!
Cleaning and shopping today, just made myself an awful poached egg! All the white spread out and I overcooked the yolk and my toast was cold :'( Very upsetting haah.

  • Morning all (just!)

I had a lie-in til 10am today, much needed, although I had very bizarre dreams!

Another gloomy day here, no rain yet though.

I'm going ot have breakfast then I'm off to my parents to pick up my old cds and stuff (and to smuggle the xmas tree back up their attic shhhh! :shhh: - I don't have the space for it here!) so I can set about making some more money off them :D.

I need some eggs but really don't want to go to supermarket. I'll try my parents local shop for some free range ones, if not I'll go to Lidl. I have decided to use a food purse from next pay day onwards (21st) and see how that works out. I'll put £80 in it each month, and any leftovers will go to the holiday fund. I will be flexible enough to allow me to buy extra things in bulk or when I have a good money off voucher though. It did however mean me buying a new little cute purse for it :oit's an incentive honest ;), it was only £4 anyway.

OS wise - DW went on earlier, hob needs a clean, laundry to be put away.

    Have a great day all

    Afternoon all :)

Have had a lazy morning so far, watching re-runs of Come Dine With Me :D

On one episode, the host added cous-cous to her roasties before placing them in the oven, so I'm going to try that today, as I have a roast beef meal planned :)

I need to sort out next week's work for my girls as we are back to the books on Tuesday. It's a bit of a weird week, but I'm looking forward to getting the whip out again :D

Back to today and we're going to go on a short walk this afternoon. What would take someone ten minutes will take us about 30 as I can't walk very well, but we just need to get out for some fresh air.

DD2 woke up with a headache and has been a bit quiet - apart from when she is being argumentative!

Only other plans for today is to make some cheesey biscuits later.

Hope you all have a good day, whatever you're doing.

    Pipkin xx
