Hooray - my Onepoll account is on £35.10, not long to go til payout:beer:
Also, I emailed my tutor my essay plan which she said was fine. It was pretty brief though and I still have some reading to do before I can write the darn thing, but will get there.
I wish I'd done more this morning as the familiar feeling of exhaustion and nausea appeared this afternoon, so working was a struggle:(
But, I got the stew in the oven...should be ready now. Just off to peel the potatoes and get them on to boil...and chuck some dumplings in the stew. Not that I'm hungry but nice to see the girls having a lovely, wholesome dinner;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
NSD so far....but I'm dithering over a Gok Wan big posh gift set from Boots as it's £11.25 from £45....could be for my sister's bday, what a lovely pressie! The Boots site being annoying though, has been on and off all day...might try once more and see if I can buy it!I really need to sort out a new signature!0

Milly do you think you might be aneamic, causing the exhaustion?
Also I have a friend who swears by linseeds every morning to keep her stomach healthy as she suffered for years before that, worth a try?0 -

I'll ask about anaemia, I have been anaemic before. I have B12 injections every 12weeks as I don't absorb it, that can cause exhaustion too - I wondered if maybe I needed the jabs more often. Mine is due next week, so that wont be helping. I just think people must be fed up of me saying 'I'm tired', but it's more than tired, it is sheer exhaustion where I can drop off and my poor old body feels like it won't move!!
I'll look into linseeds...thanks you:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I caved in and bought 2 Gok sets, they look lovely and have brilliant reviews. One for my sister's birthday and one for my friend. £11.25 each, that's what I usually spend on them - but they dont usually get a gift worth £45, very pleased:T:T
Beef stew, dumplings and mash went down well...off to make pancake batter for girls to do themselves some pud...that'll keep them occupied for a while...and off laptops:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Nothing much to report today -was an NSD....until I nipped to the shop for milk and lemon juice (for pancakes) and also got the girls a bar of chocolate each....so I wont count it as an NSD as the choc is extra;)
Dinner in the oven - jacket pots for 2 of us and eldest is having last night's leftover stew and dumplings, perfect!
A handbag arrived from Next today, from my sale order before Xmas, but it's too small so that'll go back. My dvds all came too so have had a look at a couple quickly and had a good giggle at the girls when they were 5, bless:D
Tax credits were £2 more this week...odd but I'm happy with that. Should be a low spend weekend, just off to my sister's so will take some of my leftover Xmas alcohol and some snacks, wont buy anything. I'll nip into the big Boots by her and buy a new face powder using my No.7 voucher before it expires, need hairspray too but won't go mad in Boots, am so well stocked up!!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

I just sent off all the old camcorder cassettes to be put onto dvd - so fab to have them to watch;) My dd2's first tape we did of her as a baby and toddler was stuck inside an adapter case, the ones you could put in a VHS video machine, but the company could put it on dvd so it's not lost. DD1 was not impressed, she was not interested at all in watching them:rotfl:
Anyway, off to work, but it's Friday:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Evening all:D
Well, had a busy weekend - went off to see my sis and it was my littlest niece's 3rd birthday. Had a good evening, but far too late. I did leave them all up and went to bed at 1ish but couldnt sleep until they all retired at 3:eek: Girls all had a great time though:rotfl:
I bought a new kitchen bin on Sunday, a lovely big red one, very pleased. Didn't spend much else over the weekend - £2 on cards for my niece, £11 in M's beofre we came home on a few groceries.
Dinner is on now - it's a chicken biryani that we've never had before - so fingers crossed girls like it - or it's cheese on toast and soup;)
Nothing on tomorrow, no college. Must do some work. I was going to go in to work as there's some training for the TAs that I'd like to go to - still not really decided whether to go!! I might...I still have this weekend for the essay writing. In the afternoon tomorrow I have my hospital appointment - at last:beer: I read an article about lactose intolerance often in Crohn's patients or following a tummy upset or surgery - the symptoms sound very like me, so I've cut out milk and lactose products since Sat - I think I'm less bloated and tum feels more settled. I'll ask tomorrow if it's worth getting a proper test done - it'd be good if it was that, I can control it more than the Crohn's it feels. I do feel quite good since cutting it out, might be in my head, but we shall see:)
Sold a book of dd2's on Amazon yesterday so posted it today - £4 for her. Nothing much else going on. The holiday deposit went on a cc when we booked it - got the statement yesterday so paid it all in full, go me:T The balance is due in May and *hopefully* the ex will have his £1k of it pay me then. (flying pigs spring to mind though:o:o)
Anyway, better go check out how the dinner's coming on.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
The 2 Gok sets I ordered from the Boots sale arrived - but one had a torn box (which is a lovely gold gift box) and inside one of the products had leaked:mad: I have emailed and am waiting for a reply - I know it was only £11, but it was for a gift, not myself, and I can hardly give it with a torn box and leaked gold oil stuff! We'll see what they say;) The other box was fine though, so that'll be a lovely pressie for my sister - £45 worth, fab:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0
