Also - I had a letter from the uni accepting me onto the 3rd year course to top up to a full degree - I don't want the place, but was nice to be accepted:)
I have a friend currently doing it, she gave up work tostudy - i cant do that. And even still she says its constant work.
The biggest deciding factor I think was the fact that I can't have a tuition fee loan - so would need to pay the £3200..ummm no. I have found out that I can transfer the 240 credits from the foundation degree to the OU and do 3rd year courses with them to gain a full homours degree - I think thats the way to go for me.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning Milly
His loss your gain, as you say they are now old enough to choose. I cannot believe that :wall: would be so selfish as not take them to a family party, the relatives would have probably been delighted to see the girls. As you say you are so better off without him, the new t@art is welcome too him.
Have a lovely day tomorrow with your family, my DD has sent me flowers & a lovely card, she is coming home for Easter & I cannot wait.
Unfortunately that £15.00 is standard charge for a letter from the GP, I used to feel really embarrassed asking for the charge as I have seen some letters that contained only 1 sentence
I haven't participated in the DTD, knowing my luck I would buy the wrong products.

He says they'd be really bored at the party - yes they would, but thats not the point! He's the one trying to talk them out of going - so I just assume he has ulterior motives...him going out after seems the obvious reason:o
Lovely for you having your daughter back soon, bet you can't wait to look after her and have some fab time together:)
As long as my doctor letter helps and gets me the extended time for my work then I don't mind - £15 will be money well spent for a few more months to complete it all;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
My Tesc0 DTD voucher just arrived - the full £20:beer: Shame I forgot there is a cap and bought fabric conditioner that I ended up paying the full £3 for:eek: Not to worry, it's a lovely Lenor one that I will enjoy using:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0

I've had a quiet day on my own...not done much - 3 loads of washing done and on the line dried. Tone of ironing now though:( I made some mini banana and choc chip muffins - will take most to Mums tomorrow. I used over-ripe bananas that I'd frozen and they were fine - I thought they looked awful when defrosted but they went in the muffins fine and taste lovely;)
What else? Read a few articles for my essay...not enough work done though:o Cleaned the bathroom and tidied girls closet up, bagging up a few bits for the charity bag.
I really wanted to go to the pizza shop for burgers and a kebab - but I settled for making the girls chow mein (eldests fave) and I bought a bag of frozen oven chips to have with some scampi that was in the freezer - 89p it cost then;)
Not an NSD as I gave girls £5 each to have for the day...they have some change for me that I'll chuck in the change pot.
Ok, dinner nearly ready:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Milly
Selfish :wall:he is the one missing quality time with the girls, take some consolation that you have a fantastic relationship with them and are a brilliant mum
Chuck us a banana & choc chip muffin they sound delish.
Agree lovely drying day, have done 2 lots of ironing today, all up to date now.
At least you have made a start on prep for your essay, all good in my book.
Have a fab time tomorrow.

You must be feeling very pleased with yourself about being accepted on the degree course although you're choosing another route:TIt's a good feeling knowing you're up to it. Good luck with your doctor's letter, hope it gets you the extension you want.
I'll just add my own views about your ex's behaviour, what an absolute pr*t!! Roll on the CSA assessment, he deserves all he gets!0 -

Yes, it's nice to know they think I'm up to the course...and me personal statement must have been good:D I think OU is much more up my street...I have done 3 OU courses before, about 8-9 yrs ago, before I started in school so I know it works for me. I like working on my own:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Had a good Sunday at my Mums...being fed;) Lovely to come back last night and not have to cook!
Ex is still being an idiot..grrrrr:mad: He rand dd1 and said that he'll take them out for a meal on Friday - is it me or is that just taking the p*ss - that he owes me £500 (which he just ignores any mention of) and can afford to take the girls out to eat and not offer me a penny of it? I think now he probably has the CSA letter asking for income details etc, he's not going to be willing to give me a penny:( Isn't fair - that holiday now is costing me £1900 not £1400...stupid, sad pathetic excuse he is;)
Ok, got that off my chest:T Back to work in a mo, just had lunch at home. While I remember here's this week's meal plan:
Mon - SPag bol/chilli
Tues - Roast chicken
Wed - Nigella chicken +pasta/waffles
Thurs - jackets and chicken...or dd1 will prob have leftover spag bol
Fri - Chow mein + noodles (girls may be out with the idiot tho)
Sat - at my sis
Sun - again, at my sis
Mon - Chow mein if we dont have it on Fri!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Your ex will lose out in the long run. Your girls aren't stupid, they will see through his idiotic behaviour and see him for what he really is. Doesn't really help you at the moment I knowIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
