I'm over my grocery budget this month too by about £16 (although I am still quite pleased with this). Must be the all the cold weather earlier in the month and needing to feed ourselves up :o

Love seeing the washing blowing in the wind too :)

I've ordered 3 perfumes from perfume parlour - about time I had a little treat. I went for Romance (cos I love it), Narcisco Rodriguez and Flower Bomb (to see what the fuss is about ;) as I've not smelt it before). I'm hoping to find a new signature scent :D

:T on yet another ebay sale. Must get my backside into gear with this as I have loads of DD's stuff to sell.

  • Don't be too hard on yourself re the shopping, remember all the prices have gone up so if you have not altered the things you buy then your shopping bill will of course be higher. Maybe you need to revisde your allowance or try to change some things you buy?

    Good luck with the essay

Back from the PO and shops - parcel was only 66p first class, so that was good. I spend £6-odd in Co-op - got 2 12-packs of Walkers ready salted crisps for £2.95, they were bogof - the only crisps dd1 will eat the fusspot. Also for big pack of bacon reduced to £2, some goes in tonights meal and the reast will be for dd2 and my Saturday bacon sarnies:D Also bagels were £1...dd2 has them for breakfast (only has half so they'll last ages;)) and a crusty roll for my lunch, 34p:) Loo roll in Tesco were cheap too...4 for £1.55, I usually buy a big 9 or 12 pack but there were no offers, so 4 for £1.55 good.

KM - you're right, prices have definitely gone up so I guess it's inevitable my grocery budget will need to go up, unless I make changes. In all honesty I can afford a bit more so it's not really a problem, just must keep being careful. There are things I buy that I could cut down on - think my diet coke habit here - but hey, I can afford a few cans so got to have some treats:o I could bake more etc instead of buying, but value biscuits are cheap...and the time saved is prob more valuable to me than the cost! A few easy options means I can *in theory* spend more time resting/studying:D

So, glad my jobs are done - no need to go out again now...lovely:p

The Flower Bomb is nice enough, but I have others I prefer more. I don't have a signature scent - I have so many perfumes that I wear different ones all the time:rotfl: One of my favourites is DKNY Be Delicious, also Britney's Fantasy (reminds me of Majorca 4 yrs ago) - shame it's a Britney one! Oh and Lacoste Touch of Pink...I'm resisting buying more, have none right now but have so many others I must use them first:)

    I don't half love perfume:T

He says he has nothing at the mo - til payday next week. Not even enough for his cigarettes...ah bless:) He owes me money for his ticket to the X Factor tour - I bought them...he's going with my 2 girls and my 2 nieces and their dad as he's pals with him (well, used to be best pals...not so now;)). He cant even afford his ticket...arghhhh he's useless, but I had to buy it so my girls could go.

That's amazing, do you sometimes feel you've got three children to manage? He seems to need soem lessons in budgetting!!;)

He'll never learn, will never be good with money;) He wasn't brought up that way - was always bailed out whenever he needed it...still is actually:rotfl: Never paid his mum any money towards his 'keep' - I did, even if just a token amount when i didn't have much. When we were married we were quite rubbish with money but I worried about it whereas his attitude was 'everyone else is in debt, its normal' - that didnt help us though!

Still - I sorted myslef and my money out - i love getting bargains and saving money now:D

Thanks goodness the weekend's here - had a nice lie in til about 8.45;)
I did the food shopping after work yesterday and was pleased to spend just £54...that was good as we had run out of quite a few bits and bobs...so we're all stocked up again now. I have put £240 in the grocery account for this month, but would rather keep to my original £220...we shall see. With April being mostly off work, it'll probably be a bit harder.

Not up to much today - dd2 off out with friends for the afternoon and [STRIKE]lazy backside[/STRIKE] eldest daughter wants to stay in...I offered a trip to town but no, she wants to go tomorrow. I got cross and stomped off:o

The house has got messy again, I need to have a good tidy up today. All the summer clothes are in bags upstairs so need to sort that out and get some winter things out of the way.
I really need to sort out a new signature!
