It seems a typical teenage thing about it not being 'cool' to wear coats. My theory is that if we had a few more really freezing cold winters then coats might become fashionable again. In my experience it's not the same on the continent where winters are a bit more predictably cold. I think it's a ridiculous fashion as people are getting to look like bag ladies.:rotfl:
  • Back to work again - feels like I was never off:D

Feeling better today...sure the last few days were just a bit of reaction to eating particularly well...hmmm.

Anyway, girls due back from club soon....i have a new recipe in the oven, nothing flash - just a minced beef hotpot I got from my new cookbook. It looks good, and smells yummy. So hopefully it'll go down well and can add it to the meals we like;)

NSD today - I went to the chemist at lunchtime to pick up my big prescription....and I resisted a can of diet coke...had a cuppa at work for free instead. I've joined the NSD challenge again, just going for 10 NSDs in March....thought I'd managed my first one then realised it was still Feb:rotfl: Oh well, will go for another NSD tomorrow - should be fine...to work and back, no shops.

Ok, better go and see to dinner...have a good evening:)

Glad you're feeling better. I have started to realise that various things I eat are just giving me pain. Today I scoffed a whole pack of chewy nuts and I really suffered for it later on :( I still feel a bit sore now. I really need to sort out my eating because since Xmas I have just pigged out.

    Hi Milly

Where has the time gone did not realise that DD2 was at senior school :o

Glad your feeling better, have you tried the flavoured teas like chamomile or green tea; I believe there are some that help with digestion.

Yep, both girls at secondary...they grow up too fast:(

I have peppermint tea, apparently thats good - I'll investigate more. Can't say I particularly enjoy peppermint tea..not the same as a good cuppa or coffee:o I just get very bloated in the evenings...so far, so good tonight though...I'm sure it's things I've eaten/drunk (possibly wine:o:o).

    Hooray, NSD no.1 for March:beer:
Tomorrow won't be as dd1 has an orthodontic appt at the hospital so will have to pay parking, will probably get us a drink after too. Need a few groceries too...just some fruit/veg, will just get that from the local co-op.

Last night's mince hot pot was lovely - had one portion left which is in the freezer for me another night. Tonight is bbq chicken thighs and drumsticks with hm wedges and have just used up some old cabbage to make coleslaw for myself - yum;)

Also I sold a pair of jeans I listed on ebay at the weekend - a £12.50 BIN, so very pleased with that:D They're all parcelled up so will try and post tomorrow. I have 3 other items still for sale - 1 has bids, the other 2 have watchers...fingers crossed.

I've been busy doing stuff for work - had time at school, but just not enough, so finishing today - getting stuff ready for a new group I'm working with from next week. Really should be doing uni work - tomoroow afternoon is the plan:D

Just a quick update while I'm home for lunch - it's lovely sitting at the dining table in the sun, quite warm;)

So, NSD no.2 yesterday. I did post the jeans sold on ebay but that postage is covered. I have 1 item ending tonight, but its a buy-it-now so doubt it'll go...will just relist. Today should be an NSD too as I only need milk and carrots which will come off the grocery account - as long as I don't buy any extras (mags, choc) then I dont let it affect an NSD.

I'm having a quiet weekend - dd2 is out with friends tomorrow and dd1 going out to the shops with her dad - bet she doesn't cost him as much as she costs me...he wont part with any cash:mad:

I've done next week's meal plan, just need to finish the shopping list. Don't need a huge amount, but might have a trip to Asda as it's still cheaper than anywhere else. Might go after work on Tuesday...we can manage until then with just a few odd bits from the local shop.

Must get some more work done this weekend....and have a few bits around the house to do - yet another letting agent check being done on Wed. they come every 3 months...why I dont know, they must know by now that I'm looking after the place! Every 3 months seems a bit much to me...but at least it makes sure I give the place a thorough clean regularly!!:rotfl:

Ok, best get back to work - thank goodness I finish at 2.30 today, tum's a bit ropey...I need a rest:D

    Morning:j
So, I've taken dd2 out to meet her friends, having a day with them so not picking her up til about 6. DD in bed but will be getting up to go out into town with her dad soon...peaceful day here.

I ruined my NSD yesterday - ordered a load of stickers online for school...spent £10:o But...that'll last yonks and I did want my new little group I'm working with to have some special stickers...not the ones everyone else gets;) I am kind:rotfl: Also treated myslef to a cd for the car....for the grand sum of £1.27 from Amazon. Thought that a bargain for 3 cds...some might say a waste of money as it's all 90s dance/club stuff - fab for the car I thought.

I have my scan on Monday so have a weekend of boring food - not allowed meat, fruit or veg - highly exciting dinners coming up. Tonight I'll have a bit of fish and potatoes (sure thats ok) and tomorrow will just be some white pasta and cheese. Think no fibre.....:( Still, it'll be interesting to see the results and if the Crohn's is a little active...I'm undecided, sure it's food/drink that upset my poor, delicate insides:rotfl:

Ok, need to go and get tidying so I can concentrate on some work. Also, get the place spick and span for the darn agents check on Wed.
