Why do weekends never feel long enough?! Yesterdya morning I thought I had so much time and had a long list of things to do...sadly not all things got done:o
We met my mum and dad for a cuppa this morning, then girls and I nipped over to the big home Tesco. Got a lovely duvet cover for dd2, been looking for one that she liked - found one reduced to £5.60, bargain;) It's lovely and bright, big flower prints. Also got myself a couple of cardigans to wear to work...I need to wear layers as I'm either hot or cold there! I used a refund card I had for Next to buy 3 tops, only keeping one, 2 going back - I just couldnt be bothered to try them in the shop.
Went to the 'What!' shop and got a good load of bargains - new baking tins, silicone cake and loaf tins were only £2 each.
I meant to do some work this afternoon, but ended up doing dinner and helping dd with her English project. Tomorrow I have some time when girls are out at their club, so will plough on then. Would be fab to hand it in on Wed. I must remember that I only need to pass it, to get 40%...doesn't make any difference whether I get 75% or 40%, it just needs to be done.
Dinner is in the oven - having minced beef wellington, with mash, veg and gravy...lovely. Need to iron a few bits, will do that while Dancing on Ice is on.
Only 2 weeks til half term - and I have an inset this week so only 3 working days plus college on Wed, nice:D Off to tidy up a bit while dd2 in shower...I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Only 20p to go to hit payout in Onepoll:beer: Surely by the end of today I'll have got there?!
Got a till spit in Tesco yesterday...a £6 off a £40 shop - brilliant, will use that this weekend...I won't need a huge shop, so that is perfect for me.
Must rush, off to work;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Woooohooooo:beer: I hit the magic £40 with Onepoll, so have requested the money via Paypal - brilliant, free money:T That's made my day hehehe.
Am off to the doctor's at 6.45:eek: The hospital wrote to me, wanting me to to go on steroids for 8weeks...but I'm really, really reluctant to do so - much as I feel good on them, almost manic, I put on weight, my face puffs up and I hate that with a passion..makes me feel disgusting:( Since I cut out lactose 2 weeks ago my tum has really settled and I feel ten times better...I have no pain so feel that steroids aren't needed yet. I have a scan in a month so that'll show what's going on...if they say I need steroids then, well I'll go with it...just would rather hold off. So wanted to see a doctor about the lactose intolerance...tonight was available:D So, to save me cooking beofre I go, then heating it up, I'm buying us sausage and chips from the chippy...so have an hour and a half now of peace and no cooking:T Going to do some essay....
So, NSD out the window...but it's worth it to have the time to do some work.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
The £4.50 spent at the chippy was worth it - I finished an assignment:beer: Ok, it was just a short one - 1300 words, but I'm still happy to get it gone...handed it in today. Also got the essay from last week back and got my 2nd highest mark - so happy with that:D
I've got another short one I can get on with now, but am having a tutorial on Friday to talk about some of the work based stuff that needs doing.
Had a disaster yesterday - a filling came out with my bagel:eek: I really thought it was a tooth it was so big - the dentist did keep telling me the tooth was almost gone and it wasn't good...I now realise what he meant:o So one of my back teeth has an enormous gaping hole in it - seeing dentist on Friday. It ached only a little last night but a couple of paracetamol sorted it and it's not hurt today. Grrrrr, I hate teeth;)
So just tomorrow to work and off on Friday. DD2s at a friend's tonight so just feeding dd1 and myself - meatballs and tom+pepper sauce. Just going to nip out and buy a new home phone...we haven't got one, it died...should have it connected really:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Brilliant news about the assignments, well done:T Not so good about the tooth:(
Spending at chippy was certainly well worth it!0 -
Hope you get the tooth sorted pixie! I've got a feeling I need to get another filling soon too. Eek.0

Me tooI have an extremely tender tooth. I will have to book an appointment for me and DD for half term. Just rub Sensodyne over yours until you can see the dentist.
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Thank you ladies...luckily it's not sore tonight:o Just a great gaping hole where most of the tooth once was:eek:
Poles - I just checked out my Pigsback account....and the meanies deleted my 1871 points in Dec as I hadn't logged in for 6months...grrrr:mad: So definitely in a huff with them now;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Oh no, this doesn't bode well for me. I thought it was going to be a bit of easy money.....:rotfl:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0

Good morning:D
I've had a huge sleep - was in bed with light out at 9.30 last night....and woke up at 9.30 today:T Must have needed it. Girls are with their dad, hence why I was able to get to bed at 9.30 on a Friday:rotfl:
So, must get on with stuff today - have sat and pootled about on here for a while...had a bacon sarnie, put the girls bedding in to wash and now need to get my face on;)
