Hi people - as you might have noticed, my name has changed;)
I wasn't happy using it as so many people I know would recognise me - even the ex...not that he'd be on here, but I didn't feel anonymous enough!!
I don't mind the milly bit in my title...it's not my real name:p

So, have had a nice day...cuppa with my friend for over an hour then some more of my essay - on 1700 words so no more than 500 to go:beer:
And not spent anything as pal brought in my milk and wouldnt take the money, bless her:T

Thanks maman...I think I shall have a little look at the next assignment tonight, just get an idea of what I need to think about, I really don't know what it's about off the top off my head:o Girls are out after school until 6.15, but I think I deserve a relaxing evening...might just browse some recipe books. I've been meaning to do it for days but there's always something more important to do!

I'm up to £38.55 on Onepoll - hopefully a few more surveys will appear later on, they often do.

NSD today - will be coming straight home after work and don't need any groceries.

    Back to work I go...

Good work on the onepoll surveys, chick! Is it £40 for a payout? Woo hoo to free money!

Jacket pots for me too - tuna mayo and some soggy looking salad leaves :)

    xx

Yes, £40 is payout - what a lovely amount of free money yes:T

Jacket pots are our regular Thursday night dinner, think it's because it means hardly any prep/cooking for me while girls are out at their club - don't want to waste time cooking when I have the house to myslef do I??!;)
I have just sat and read a mag for an hour - very tired...but it's Friday tomorrow, woohoo:beer:
Handed my essay in to my tutor, fab. I don't like the look of the next one - too much work based stuff, I much prefer the theoretical ones..oh well:(

  • Good morning;)
Today's plans were for a lazy morning then trip to town this afternoon - but dd2's had a better offer and is off to meet friends this afternoon so dd1 and I are staying home and we will all go to town tomorrow...after we've met my mum and dad for morning coffee:D

So, girls are still in bed, I'm still in dressing gown drinking coffee. I must go and have a shower then can get on, but just feeling very weary today! Not long til half term though - have 2 weeks, and this week had an inset in it so that's lovely.

I've done next week's meal plan so will post that in a mo, have forgotten to do that recently although I have used one all the time...don't know how I managed not planning meals before:o
Ok, here's a list of to-dos for this weekend:
    • ironing
    • another load of washing on - uniform was done last night
    • buy the few bits of groceries we need
    • hoover upstairs, down the stairs and then lounge and kitchen
    • mend dd's scarf thats come away at the seam
    • put pile of stuff up the attic thats been waiting for weeks:o
    • tidy garden - rubbish/recycling blown about everywhere...nice
    • return Next parcel tomorrow
    • clean bathroom
    • start assignment
Ok...thats all I can think of for now. The next essay I have to do is work based so I need to do some work on that before I can start. I have 3 short assignments outstanding from last year still - so want to try get one done, or at least planned and started, this afternoon.
Right, think I'll go shower, then get tidied...I feel better when the house is neat and tidy:T

  • Here's the meal plan:

Sat: Curry for girls, sweet and sour meal for me (not v exciting, but avoiding the curry as has milk in:o)
Sun: Jamie Oliver's minced beef wellington and mash
Mon: BBQ chicken thighs and drumsticks with wedges/waffles
    Tue: Sausage casserole and potatoes
Wed: Meatballs and HM tomato+pepper sauce, pasta
Thurs: jacket pots, crispy chicken and beans/spag hoops
Fri/Sat/Sun - girls are with their dad so I'll have freezer bits - oven fish+chips one night, stuffed pasta, grilled chicken and rice, risotto...all possible meals!!

I'm going to look in some cookbooks in town tomorrow - still fed up with the meals we have. Must try quesadillas soon, maybe the week after next.

    Hi pixie

Your meals are certainly more varied since you've been planning regularly. Well done:T I think it's a great idea to try out something new when you've more time over half term. Browsing cookbooks is a good way but there are lots of amazing meal ideas on the web too. I generally choose the sort of dish I want and then surf until I can find a recipe that has a simple method and not too outlandish ingredients.

My mealplan for this week (I do Friday to Thursday), I didn't need to buy much this week other than veg as most main ingredients are from the freezer. I find it such a saving (time and money) to make my own ready-meals or freeze bulk packs of meat/offers in portion sizes:

Fri: cottage pie (f) with fresh veg
Sat: not 100% sure but probably curry (f)
Sun: Roast chicken dinner (chicken in freezer)
Mon: stir fry with beef (f)
Tues: Liver and Onions with mash and gravy
    Wed:Fish (f) and Chips
Thu: Pasta with Philly, bacon(f) and mushrooms

Well done on starting to plan your next assignments. The work-based ones always take more advance planning to make sure you fit in all the activities, case-studies etc that you need before writing up. Good luck.
