I was just wondering if anyone knows whether Ricotta cheese can be HEB or A on any plans??
I have an up to date book and 85g of Ricotta is listed as a Healthy B on Green but isn't listed on Extra Easy or Red so would be have to be synned on those plans. Hope this helps?A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:

Afternoon all, and oooooh, shiny new thread too! Thanks to Consultant for that, and for the lovely opening post.
MrsM - WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! well done on achieving 100lbs lost, fantastic achievement. The fact that you've done all that without attending meetings, but purely by using the online support is even more amazing. I think you need to go put on one of those fancy new dresses of your's and swish and sashay around the house for a bit to celebrate!
Well there seem to be lots of renewed good intentions from all of us, so I don't see any reason why shouldn't all have an absolutely stunning January. I love reading how everyone hopes to tackle their own journey.
For me it's got to be an increase in activity. I know that once the warmer weather comes .... please tell me it will come! - I will be out gardening and walking more. I've got to keep my attendance at the gym up, otherwise my BF will stop paying for me to go! I have bought a copy of a dance game for the Wii, but haven't got around to getting on that yet. I will once the children go back to school later in the week.
Food today: EE
B - apricot shredded wheat (HEB), milk (part of HEA)
L - ham salad, 0% fat salad dressing, salad cream (1 syn)
D - Roast beef, SW roasties, broccoli, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, gravy (2 syns), yorkshires (6 syns)
I'm really worrying about WI tomorrow evening, as the last one was a morning one, and I had a 1.5lb gain. I've tried to be fairly reserved in my eating, but feel that my EE plan has lacked the 1/3 superfrees some days. Hey ho, it's 100% on plan, and has been for a few days now, so I'm going to bite the bullet, and keep at it.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Evening all, I do believe I have seen a thread for sw slow cook recipes but now can't find it. Can anyone help?
I have a small slow cook but Argos has a big one on offer so was thinking might get it and do healthy meals for everyone [but not tell them lol]
Am determined to be good from now til bedtime with just my fruit/yog as am stuffed from roast lunch plus all the chocs from this morning [will be so glad when they all gone]. Bugga just remembered got a box of cadbury fingers in cupboard, love themoh dear.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

:j:j:j:j Well done MrsM!!! Such an inspriation xxDontknowanymore wrote: », not sure how I am going to cope with following SW when I cant spend much on food
I don't know your circumstances and homelife, but I manage to follow SW pretty well on a budget of £60-£80 a month for food (and toilettries/cleaning stuff). I am veggie so that cuts out a big cost I guess! OS board is great for inspiration.

Well done Mrs M!!!!!!!!
And I love that quote about Christmas and New Year - I must remember that1Dontknowanymore wrote: »Ooh nice new thread! Hope everyone is well. I'm ok, just panicking a bit, my money has been cut by £30 a week  so that means having to cut my food bill down, not sure how I am going to cope with following SW when I cant spend much on food
On the SW website there used to be a section for students (read: anyone on a low budget) you might find some hints in there. Also of course, cooking from scratch rather than using anything in a jar or packet tends to be cheaper, as does going vegetarian or only buying meat when it is reduced - you can always cut it into smaller chunks and freeze for when you need it, or cook it then freeze it. Rice, potatoes, pasta are all cheap if bought from the right shops and don't buy rice with the flavouring already in, add a bit of your own if only pepper and a bit of spice. This is what I do anyway, and I'm not (yet) struggling pence wise.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

I don't think Extra Easy is "better" than Red or Green - they all work - you just choose whichever suits your lifestyle better - green suits vegetarians, red suits meat eaters, extra easy can be worked to suit either vegetarians or meat eaters! And the beauty is that SW is not "faddy" - no worries about high protein, low carbs, food combining etc. - it's just straightforward healthy eating that allows for chocolate cravings etc. - it's more of a lifestyle choice than a "diet" so I find it easy to "stick to".
You can have ready meals but you will find that most of these will need to be synned and of course that would make your food more expensive - and if that's how you would prefer to use your syns then that's fine!
Good luck with it whichever plan you choose!A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:

thank you so much, the used to have a syn value but I'm so glad they don't anymore! Guess what I'm going to be living on ha!
So my brunch was free woohoo
I ended up having 28g oats HeB with VLF yogurt, banana and 2 slices of melon for mid afternoon snack and just had home made chicken curry with peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes which I had with a small jacket potato.
Will have some more fruit later no doubt and another cup of tea to use up rest of HeA skim milk
Anyone see any good offers on quorn recently?*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150
