It was the stickies list I was talking about.
I found the extra postings for the weeklies a bit confusing tbh and I know a lot of people don't have time to wade through the regs board but the stickies list of weeklies means you can just scan down the list to see if there is any that you want to enter, if there are you can just click on that one to go to the post.
The post on the main board could just have a header saying list of regular weekly comps here or something similar rather than 2 or 3 links and the writing.
Sorry for misunderstanding
I think most if not all the people that comp from regulars just comp from the stickies rather than going down the whole board every time.
Yes that could work but (a bit like Mazmie says) couldn't people just be educated about the fact the stickies exist and use them without the need for an extra link on main?
I agree with 99% of what Mazmie said....it does feel very them and us, and it does feel like we're trying to find solutions because people can't be bothered to do things for themselves. And in doing so we are just annoying other peopleI've really had enough of it too (I seriously considered leaving MSE over it all but was told elsewhere was just as bad) and totally agree, people should just be told to use the stickies for ongoing regulars if they don't want to miss them. Because no compromise seems good enough.
The only thing I disagree with from Mazmies very wise words is that I really don't think a post in regulars should be duped on main even if it is marked as being a dupe. We can't dupe other comps so why these ones?
And very sorry to hear about your baby being ill. I hope she's on the mend now, xxxxx0 -

I think a big thank you to ITV for keeping it fair (see MSE winner above)
The only advantage (for them) from online entries is extra exposure to the advertising on the online entry page0 -
I've won on Loose Women (£3k) and a "small" ITV comp. in the past three years online so, no, they can't be biased towards "purchased" entries.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0

I think it is very sad that there are people out there that do spend a pound a time phoning these things. Some of them probably do it every day and really these are the people who are providing the prize fund
Their chances of winning must be drastically reduced by the many thousands of people who enter for free on line.0 -
mamzie im glad baby is on the mend again, i hope she continues on that route. sorry shes been so poorly again.
mamzie and beffff thats why ive given up. no matter what people are going to moan. duping all reg comps on main is a royal pita, but its an option for those who want them posted as a new thread every week so they dont miss for them to post it on mian with a link to the relevant regs thread. will be a pita for the rest of us as it will be another one we open to look at before moving on UNLESS it is tagged in title that its a reg comp. id also suggest that its not compulsary to post on main when you update a thread, its merely an option for people to add it the way above if they want it on main.
ive really hit the point now where i want to say right fine! we have tried to find solutions to help, you dont want them so choose to either use the reg forum stickies to keep track of ongoing threads or keep track by your own bookmarks or whatever but do not under any circumstances dupe on main or complain that those you do dupe get merged or whine that you are missing comps because you choose not to go and look at ongoing threads or the stickies! and a link adding to andreas sticky saying regs are here go see them if you want! i do agree that all the extra work of posting it on main as well as on the reg thread is less necessary but if its what people want to do, if they dont mind taking that bit of extra work to do so and its useful then ill deal with the extra threads i need to skip out on main when i do manage to get in there and comp!0 -
I think many elderly viewers (like my gran) don't have access to (or know how to use) the web so will still enter over the phone.Taking baby-steps :beer:0

Is it me or has the number of comps fallen of lately. Work meant I never did any comps from the start of Nov until last week and there seems distinctly less prizes knocking around compared to back then.
I used to find around 50 a day on the main board worth entering, today it was probably half that.
Maybe it's all in my mind.Total Value of wins in 2009: £900 appox. 2010: £730Wins 2011: Carlisle Utd Tickets (twice!), Baby Food Hamper, Straighteners, Chugginton Toy0 -

i think generally jan tends to be a slow month, no holidays for special comps, others have run comps for xmas or are getting ready for valentines so just dont bother in january perhaps. march theres st paddys day and easter occasionally and so on lol0
